Harvard University Cancels Kyle Kashuv

Yeah, the left went after him because of his Wrongthink. And, there are some other examples, but, not a lot, and you really do not get the cancelling over death threats from the Right, because there just aren’t that many. Cancel culture has run rampant on the Left, even against their own, and now they’re getting a taste of it from the right
Dozens of social media posts and messages about the murder of Charlie Kirk, including some that celebrated his death, are being spotlighted by conservative activists, Republican elected officials and a doxxing website as part of an online campaign to punish the posters behind the messages.
Prominent far-right influencer Laura Loomer, a US senator, and a site called “Expose Charlie’s Murderers” have all drawn attention to people who have posted messages about Kirk’s Wednesday assassination.
The campaigns show how social media posts or personal messages — even by accounts with few followers or from people who are not public figures — could easily be surfaced and publicized, and people’s personal information can be spread across the internet at a time when doxxing is easier than ever.
The Charlie’s Murderers site, whose domain was registered anonymously and which says it is not a doxxing site, claims it has “received nearly 30,000 submissions,” according to a message on the site’s front page on midday Saturday. Currently, there are a few dozen submissions published on the site. “This website will soon be converted into a searchable database of all 30,000 submissions, filterable by general location and job industry. This is a permanent and continuously-updating archive of Radical activists calling for violence.”
I mean, Loomer is a nutball, but, these posts are not “alleged”: they’re real.

On X, one account has begun a running “Trophy Case” — a “mega-thread of all of the people Twitter gets fired, updated live as the news comes in,” with dozens of entries of people it claims have lost their jobs.
It’s a long, long, whiny piece, but, hey, don’t want none, don’t start none. They could have kept their “mouths shut”, not popped off, but, they couldn’t help themselves. Democrats have tried to get, and sometimes succeeded, in getting Republicans fired/kicked out of school for way, way less.
He and others like him should be fired and never allowed to “teach” children again.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox called major social media corporations (including Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp), Alphabet (YouTube), Tencent (WeChat), and ByteDance (TikTok), which operate the world’s largest platforms, as well as other significant companies like LinkedIn (Microsoft) and X (formerly Twitter)) as cancers. The algorithms that direct content on these platforms favor outrage. Unlike Mr Trump, at times Governor Cox has tried to bring people together, while being careful not to criticize Trump, who is trying to capitalize poltically on the violence.
Lindssy Graham claimed the murder was the MOST signifcant assassination in history! He claimed Kirk was THE symbol of MAGA, and THE reason trump won. Graham also said repeal Section 230 of the 1996 CDA, permitting platforms to be sued for publishing harmful content.
Pete Buttigieg called the murder an attack on America, and said he grieves for Mr Kirk’s wife and 2 children. Social media is a part of the problem, he said.

Here in America, companies have the right to fire employees for almost any reason, including for employee social media BS.
For example, a blogger mocking Paul Pelosi having his skull fractured by a crazy right-winger could be fired if their employer felt his remarks harmed sales.
Social media giveth, social media taketh away!
A couple decades ago, I’d listen to a local radio right-wing show on my 15 min drive to work. Anyway, once at work, I’d fire off a brief note of how he was wrong on his comment line. Besides revealing my contact info to his tribe he threatened to contact my employer!
Later, he was fired by his radio and TV employers when he threatened 17 yr old David Hogg: “I’ve been hanging out getting ready to ram a hot poker up David Hogg’s ass tomorrow. Busy working. Preparing.” Avertisers pulled the plug and then so did Sinclair.
