Just went back to the gym for the first time since last Tuesday, and realized how many exercises I cannot do because they involve strength of ankle and balance. That I cannot stress the ankle too much. Also, for you older folks, how we’ve learned to just take the time, do not rush it.

    Using an Executive Order, the flatulist from Florida tries to punish a law firm that represented some of his political enemies.

    WASHINGTON—A federal judge blocked most of a White House executive order punishing Perkins Coie, saying the administration had put itself at odds with the First Amendment by targeting the law firm based on President Trump’s dislike of its work for his political opponents.

    U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell in Washington, D.C., issued her decision in lengthy remarks at the end of a Wednesday hearing, excoriating the administration for an order that she said likely violated the Constitution on multiple fronts and threatened to undermine bedrock principles of the U.S. legal system, namely that even the unpopular or politically disfavored are entitled to protection and representation under the law.

    March 4 (Reuters) – An investor group backed by BlackRock Inc. agreed to buy a majority stake in the Hong Kong-based company that runs ports along either side of the Panama Canal, giving a U.S. firm control of key docks amid pressure from the White House to take them from China. The $22.8 billion sale by Hong Kong’s CK Hutchison appears to be a win for President Trump.

    The sale will result in the consortium gaining a 90% stake in Panama Ports Company, which has been the operator of the Balboa and Cristobal ports. In theory the deal, by showing the firm to be acting in Trump’s favor, could ease Republican pressure on BlackRock over its embrace of the use of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors in investing. But the company has remained under attack by Republicans and supporters of Trump’s MAGA movement on climate and diversity issues. Go Woke! Go Broke!
