We’re Saved: S. Korea Cuts Down 2 Million Trees, Replaces Them With Solar Panels

This is some crazy logic

Killing Gaia to save Gaia from having a fever (it’s not really a new article, from back in April, but, folks are noticing and it’s a good illustration of just what these Cultists are doing)

More than 2 million trees have been cut down in South Korea over the last three years to make space for solar panels, according to opposition lawmakers who argue that the government’s renewable push should not be a replacement of nuclear energy.

Since the government strongly pushed for solar power business in 2017, 4,407 hectares of forest have been damaged, 15 times the space of the Yeouido area of Seoul, according to Rep. Yoon Sang-jin of the main opposition Liberty Korea Party on Thursday.

The removal of trees, which stood at around 310,000 in 2016, jumped to about 670,000 in 2017 and over 1.3 million in 2018.

So, beautiful, natural trees removed, nice forest areas and wild spaces, to be replaced with ugly solar panels.

All from an advocate for S Korea’s nuclear industry…

  2. Kye says:

I think the deforestation of Korea for solar stupidity which at best can operate about half the time as opposed to nuclear power which creates more energy for less is so stupid only cultists and well educated people could support it. It stands to reason the S. Korean left does.

  3. Elwood P. Dowd says:

South Korea (about the size of Tennessee) has 24 nuclear reactors and is building 4 more, although they plan to phase them out by 2080. Imported fossil fuel (coal and gas) is the primary energy source at this time. Nuclear currently supplies about 30%.

Small nations such as S Korea worry about nuclear accidents. Whether that worry is justified is their problem, right?

Kye: What do have against “well educated” people?

    • formwiz says:

His problem was with solar, not nucular.

The stupid in the bunny suit is strong (so what else is news?).

What do have against “well educated” people?

Nothing, but people who “believe” in global nonsense are not well-educated.

    • Kye says:

      Once again you address me.

I have nothing against “well educated” people. They have given me many hours of laughter and amusement as they have come up with some of the stupidest ideas on the planet. But I think you are confusing intelligent people with those who are merely well educated. It’s a common mistake you well educated people make often. You confuse your degrees with actual brilliance. That in itself is amusing.

And yes, “that worry” is S. Korea’s problem. It’s they who must fix it and cutting down every tree in the country does not seem like the answer….unless one is well educated. And every nation worries about nuclear accidents regardless of size and every country needs to use their technical skills to create safe nuclear sites for that reason. Everything involves risk, get used to it.

Trump 2020 He’s well educated AND brilliant!

    • david7134 says:

      Jeff,
Have you been to Korea? I have, multiple times. I never met a Korean that was worried about nuclear power plants. They are more worried about affordable energy, which they don’t have, or water for that matter. Although they are the size of Tennessee they have about 10 times or so the population. The other thing is that they make us look like a 3rd world country. As to the trees, that is strange and I would double check the source as trees are problematic there. The Japs came in an cut down all the trees in Korea, there was a major effort to replant after the war so the trees are somewhat of a spiritual consideration. Really, you don’t have much knowledge, experience, travel or anything that would justify your commenting on any subject.

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

        daviduke,

You mean, no one came up to you to talk about their fears of having a Fukushima Daiichi type accident? It seems that would rarely come up in conversation.

In any event, S Korea is still building reactors, still operating reactors and supplementing with renewables in hopes of burning less coal.

TEACH supplied to source of the article, and as I said it came from a pro nuclear power politician.

        • david7134 says:

Jeff, your comment does not make sense. Your comments are pure bull, an example is that you have no idea as to what Koreans worry about. But you use it as a negative. Then in other comments you make presumptions when you’ve are clearly ignorant of the subject. I just find it great that your climate religion was killed by the Fin study.

        • formwiz says:

Proof once again relying on Fake News makes you an idiot.

And the bunny suit is wrong again. Turns out the ROKs have very little coal, so their use of nucular has nothing to do with being enviro-mental.

In fact, they’re the 4th largest importer of coal in the world.

I have a fossil fuel burning RV in which my wife and I travel extensively. To offset our carbon footprint we use a honda generator EU2200i which produces 2200 peak watts. In addition the top of our RV has 600 watts of solar which charges the extremely expensive lithium batteries.

As we speak the RV industry is experiencing a boom of sorts with each of the last 5 years seeing double digit growth since the implosion in 2007-2008.

My solar panels work about half arsed. 300 dollars per panel produces 100 watts in favorable conditions. Other people buy 99 dollar 100 watt panels that actually produce more amperage than do the more expensive ones and peak out well over 100 watts.

Imagine that. Tesla produces the expensive ones and South Korea the cheap ones.
The waters are so muddled in solar and wind that there is no clear cut answer to the solution other than to say, even Tesla is into MONEY and PROFIT despite their save the world propaganda.

    • formwiz says:

To offset our carbon footprint we use a honda generator EU2200i which produces 2200 peak watts.

How does that offset the material put in the atmosphere? It doesn’t. Why don’t you hop a time machine back 650 years and just buy an indulgence from the Vatican? Better yet, ask Albert Gore The Living Redwood to massage your Second Chakra for you?

      Makes about as much sense.

The Joe Btfsplk costume has a stupid enhancer.

The waters are so muddled in solar and wind that there is no clear cut answer to the solution other than to say, even Tesla is into MONEY and PROFIT despite their save the world propaganda.

So, according to david, are you.

I actually wrote this piece just so the shit between your ears would ooze all over the page. I dont camp. Don’t own a honda generator and dont own any solar panels. I just figured no matter what I put on this page you would become a one celled nematoad and expose your greatest strength. Genetic Stupidity.

By the way I think Trump will win in 2020 despite people like you supporting him simply because their are enough Antifa thugs supporting the left to offset toxic people like you.

        HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Your nuking futs dude.

        • formwiz says:

Joe Btfsplk puts on the bear suit to tell us he wrote something that’s in accord with Lefty cant just to prove some stupid point only he thinks is funny.

We had the brains to know a good man when we saw him.

            Doom,
We have had difficulty with a guy who currently calls himself elwood. Previous it was jeffery. He is a pharmacist in St. Louis who thinks of himself as very liberal and progressive. In the mold of these folks he lies, calls everyone names, attacks family and is generally a real jerk. Lately he has been signing in under other names. Most here are conservative and gentlemen. Elwood or Jeff is not.

        Antifa BC
        Antifa Manitoba
        Antifa Quebec
        Antifa Australia
        Antifa Hamburg

Etc. Etc. They are a world wide organization of loosely knit terrorists of kindred spirit most likely funded by George Soros. But how would you know that? Your head is full of cow turds.

They are actually active in several nations and were instrumental in changing Sweeden Fundamentally until the Sweedes stood up to them in the late 80’s. They have been around a pretty long time known by many names but always Anti fascists in nature even though everything they do is via using fascism itself to shut down the opposition.

        • formwiz says:

Since we only have to deal with the ones here (can’t find much on most of the groups you mention, so I’m wondering if they even exist), I’d say your head is the one full of something besides brains.

They are actually active in several nations and were instrumental in changing Sweeden Fundamentally until the Sweedes stood up to them in the late 80’s.

The Swedish one only started in ’85.

The Korean peninsula is subject to cloudy, bitterly cold winters, which reduce the opportunity for solar panels to produce electricity. Although solar panels do well in cold, sunny weather, the lack of sunshine during the Korean winter is a serious problem.

      The Lost History of Antifa
      By
      Loren Balhorn
72 years after the triumph over Nazism, we look back to postwar Germany, when socialists gave birth to Antifa.

An interesting read if you want to continue thinking ANTIFA is just a few left or right coast thugs in America looking for trouble.

      • Doom and Gloom says:

Since Antifa was born out of the Ashes of Hitlers NAZI Germany now you know why the left uses the Nazi, Hitler, moniker to label those on the right who are not hardcore leftist/socialists. In fact one of the many reasons the entire continent went socialist was the rise of hard core Antifa after the war. So successful they actually rebranded and moved internationally in an attempt to do the exact thing Hitler wanted to do. Dominate the world with their OWN BRAND OF RADICAL THINKING.

        • formwiz says:

          Wrong again.

The first German movement to call itself Antifaschistische Aktion was proclaimed by the German Communist Party (KPD) in their newspaper Rote Fahne in 1932 and held its first rally in Berlin on 10 July 1932, then capital of the Weimar Republic.

Another Commie front. Can’t you get anything right?

          • Doom and Gloom says:

Had to dig hard for that didnt you. Good. Learn something instead of just shouting uglies at someone for showing up and posting.

However you are only partially right. From Germany historians themselves we get this:

But the Nazis weren’t primarily focused on elections. With increasing frequency, they were assaulting and murdering their opponents. Every organization in Germany’s workers movement was under threat of direct Nazi attack: labor unions, the Social Democratic Party (SPD) and the Communist Party (KPD).

A unified resistance among workers could have defeated the Nazis. We must not forget that in the 1933 elections, the SPD and KPD together received more votes than Hitler.

            however.

Many people recognized the threat of fascism and called for such a united front. But both the SPD and KPD refused. Instead, they created pseudo-united groups—among themselves. The SPD had the Eiserne Front (“Iron Front”), composed of SPD-led labor unions and some liberals. They depended, ultimately, on the bourgeois police to fight the Nazis.

The KPD founded Antifaschistische Aktion (Antifascist Action). Officially, it was open to anyone, ostensibly also SPD members—but they had to be able to accept Antifascist Action’s attacks on the SPD. It was taken for granted that SPD members would leave their party before joining Antifascist Action. It didn’t work out that way.

Now who won out in this battle against Hitler and fascism? It was the KPD which ultimately has led to an Antifa which is communist in nature and always has been.

My point exactly. We both just arrived to the same point via different means.

It’s interesting that the far right crowd is getting more and more agitated, more prone to violence. They want to shoot Congresswomen and immigrants, deport citizens, imprison dissidents…

Is it because 1) they know trump is done, and their hopes of a white Christian paradise is now remote or 2) are they primed for their wet dream of purging America of all those commies, fags, negroes and foreigners.

We’re not the ones clocking people from behind. You guys shot the last Congressman and deporting people who lied to get citizenship is something that should be happening. And people aren’t saying, “Lock her up”; it’s “Send her back”.

      Get it right.

Trump isn’t done and, if 2 comes to pass, you go back to Somalia.

See how you like it there.

    • Doom and Gloom says:

I get it now. YOu are this Jeffery person. They are no more prone to violence then your own Antifa group which consists mainly of communists. NO more prone to violence than you block of Muslims which embrace Sharia law which condones beheading without trials.

I can see your purpose here. It is to agitate and stir up and you have apparently succeeded.
