Trump’s Immigration Orders Make America Less Safe Or Something

What Mr. Trump should have done was sign an order resettling all of the Muslim “refugees” in rich liberal run areas and near Democratic Party lawmakers homes. Not just liberal cities, but near the posh areas. It would have been interesting to see how Democrats would have objected. Instead, we end up with this bit by former Obama flunky David Benjamin

The Disastrous Consequences of Trump’s New Immigration Rules
With the stroke of a pen, the president has seriously jeopardized America’s safety and standing.

With his executive action suspending the admission of refugees to the United States and temporarily halting the entry of citizens from a variety of Muslim countries, President Donald Trump made a quick down payment on a key campaign promise. He also set the U.S. on a disastrous course—one that threatens to weaken our national security and diminish American global leadership.

The order signed on Friday calls for a temporary ban on visas for individuals from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Libya, Yemen and Somalia; a 120-day suspension of the resettlement of all refugees; and an indefinite ban on the resettlement of Syrian refugees.

The NY Times features the full order here, which includes

In order to protect Americans, the United States must ensure that those admitted to this country do not bear hostile attitudes toward it and its founding principles. The United States cannot, and should not, admit those who do not support the Constitution, or those who would place violent ideologies over American law. In addition, the United States should not admit those who engage in acts of bigotry or hatred (including “honor” killings, other forms of violence against women, or the persecution of those who practice religions different from their own) or those who would oppress Americans of any race, gender, or sexual orientation.

Obviously, that’s just too much for Liberals. It should have included those from Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. What the whole order essentially does is take a pause for refugees from countries that tend to have a lot of hardcore extremist Muslims, to give the whole apparatus a chance to make sure their vetting programs work. It is an America First program. What’s more important to us? Protecting Americans from being raped by the “refugees”, or the rapey refugees?

Back to Politico

It is hard to find any real basis for this action. During the campaign, Trump made frequent, unfounded claims that we have a “dysfunctional immigration system” and that unknown people are pouring through our borders. But over the past decade and a half, U.S. immigration enforcement has improved vastly to the point where it bears scant resemblance to the system whose vulnerabilities were exposed on 9/11. Travelers from all over the world are screened three or more times, with their names run through databases that draw on staggering amounts of intelligence and law enforcement information. The process flags all manner of misdeeds or suspicious information.

Interesting. Democrats have been telling us for decades that the “immigration system is broken”, of course, in an attempt to provide amnesty for illegals. As far as the system flagging issues, it helps when they actually check. And it’s hard to check on people coming from backwards 3rd world hellholes. What do see is that a goodly chunk refuse to assimilate. Are the Europeans checking? Look at the vast number of issues occurring in the EU from all these “refugees.”

In fact, Trump’s action has the potential to trigger violence by individuals who are already leaning toward extremism, including some with mental illness. There are more than a few people who experienced personal setbacks, including ones in which officialdom was involved, who interpreted their experience through the prism of the jihadist narrative and took violent action.

So, to prove that Trump is wrong, those Muslims who already hold extremist views will move from words to getting violent? This is the argument? Really?

Real unemployment, U-6, stands at 9.2%, and the FY2016 budget deficit came in at $587 billion; the last thing we need is admission of refugees, from anywhere, few of whom will have job skills (beyond manual labor) that are useful for the American economy, few of whom will speak English, and most of whom will wind up on welfare.

  2. Jeffery says:

trumpy didn’t ban travelers from countries where he has businesses. Why is that? Most of the 9/11 murderers were Saudis.

I guess because France, Germany, Russia ad a dozen more countries where he has businesses are not listed as terrorist nations. BTW, neither is Saudi Arabia. Personally, I’d ban them all but Trump is a liberal.

  4. Stosh says:

You have to treat them very nicely or they will start killing you…or you can just not admit them.

  5. Jeffery says:

trumpy handed a gift to ISIL. He’s a recruiting tool for them.

An Iraqi translator for the US military with a valid US visa is being held at JFK airport.

trumpy is not stupid, but he is evil.

  6. Rev.Hoagie® says:

I’m waiting for you to make a point, Jeffery. How is Trump a recruiting tool for ISIS, ISIL or anybody? And I don’t understand what a translator has to do with anything.

If you’re trying to make some point I’m open, please make it. At this point it’s like code and I don’t have my decoder ring.

  7. Jeffery says:

trumpy just got his fat ass kicked by 20 something Jewish lawyers who arranged the release of Iraqi translator Hameed Khalid Darweesh from JFK airport.

  8. Jeffery says:

Because of trumpy’s dumbass EO, people on airplanes from trumpy’s terrifying 7 nations, are being detained by US customs.

Hammeed Darweesh is an Iraqi national who works for the US military in Iraq as a translator. He was traveling with his family under legal US visas to the US and was detained by customs as one of trumpy’s potential terrorists. He was just released under pressure from attorneys from the ACLU.

This is the kind of shit we get from a dumbass tyro dictator who signs any document put in front of him by his ideologue staff who are sssuaging their militant base.

At least trumpy’s brownshirts at the airport didn’t torture the guy or his wife and kids.

  9. drowningpuppies says:

Still don’t know how to answer a simple question,
    huh, little guy?

  10. Rev.Hoagie® says:

Thank you Jeffery. Now I understand what you were referring to. So this translator was arrested? Beaten? Water boarded? Raped? Or just inconvenienced? I mean was some outrage perpetrated or just an inconvenient mistake? I only ask because when Christians were fined hundreds of thousands of dollars and put out of business for refusing to participate in a gay celebration the ACLU was nowhere to be found. Therefore, I assume the magnitude of harm and physical or mental or financial impact on this poor Iraqi was just so intolerable that a gaggle of Jews were needed to free him. Thank allah they arrived before his beheading, his wife’s gang rape at the hands of NSA and the children sold off into slavery. Oh wait, that’s what they do. Never mind!

  11. RobM says:

I’m sick and tired of this argument, that if we don’t coddle this group or that, they will act out violently or recruit. Stupid reasoning. How about , if you are a hair trigger from acting out, you aren’t welcome in our society. We have enough home-grown idiots that use any excuse to misbehave… and we legally can’t send them anywhere but jail. Ban ’em . I’m good with a 15 year ban, and individual cases will be looked at. There is no reason to take in ANY more Muslims into America until and unless the ones here assimilate…. and if they don’t assimilate, proof positive they are not suited to settling here. Let the Muslims settle in Brazil.

  12. Jl says:

“He’s a recruiting tool for them..” Too funny. Why yes, didn’t the Nazi ban produce more Nazis? And Obama put a ban on refugees from Iraq for 6 months in 2011. How knew liberals were hypocrites?

  13. Jeffery says:

A Federal judge grants an emergency stay to the incompetent trumpy’s Muslim ban…

  14. Jeffery says:

Mike Pence long ago in 2015…

    Governor Mike Pence

Calls to ban Muslims from entering the U.S. are offensive and unconstitutional.

    9:30 AM – 8 Dec 2015

  15. gitarcarver says:

A Federal judge grants an emergency stay to the incompetent trumpy’s Muslim ban

Jeffery has lied again. (Then again, his “crooks and liars” source gets it wrong as well, but one has to consider the source.)

The stay only deals with “persons detained who, prior to the Executive Order, had valid visas or refugee applications already approved, or legally entered the U.S. from one of the 7 countries subject to the Executive Order.”

By no means is this a stay of the entire order as Jeffery’s post would have you believe.

Here’s the actual order to show that Jeffery and the left lied.

It should also be noted that in 2015, Obama signed an order banning the Vise Waver Program for people from seven countries. Those seven countries are the same countries in Trump’s EO which only last for 4 months while the policies and procedures are reviewed.

So anyone who does a little research and isn’t a troll can see that what the left is portraying is not the truth.

Mike Pence long ago in 2015…

Good thing we aren’t banning people just based on them being a Muslim, eh Jeffery?

And by the way, look who was for a border wall before they were against a border wall:

Two-thirds of the Republican-led House approved the bill, including 64 Democrats, and 80 of 100 senators approved the bill in the Senate. Then Sens. Barack Obama, Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton were among the 26 Democrats who approved the bill. Supporters also included Sen. Chuck Schumer, who is set to take over leadership of the Senate for Democrats in 2016.

Other Democrats in the Senate who voted for the wall in 2006 are Sens. Barbara Boxer (CA), Sherrod Brown (OH — then in the House), Tom Carper (DE), Dianne Feinstein (CA), Barbara Mikulski (MD), Bill Nelson (FL), Debbie Stabenow (MI), and Ron Wyden (OR).

There are also a number of Democrat representatives still in the House who voted for the bill: Sanford Bishop (GA), Corrine Brown (FL), Michael Capuano (MA), Jim Cooper (TN), Jim Costa (CA), Peter DeFazio (OR), Steve Israel (NY), Ron Kind (WI), Daniel Lipinski (IL), Stephen Lynch (MA), Carolyn Maloney (NY), Bill Pascrell Jr. (NJ), Collin Peterson (MN), C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger (MD), Tim Ryan (OH), and Adam Smith (WA).

Former Democrat Rep. Barney Frank and now-disgraced former Democrat Rep. Anthony Weiner also voted for the bill.

Of course, since Jeffery supported those representatives and their policies without question, certainly he supports a wall now, right?

  16. Jeffery says:

As I said, a Federal judge granted an emergency stay to trumpy’s ban.

The increasingly desperate gc lies and twists and turns and changes the subject.

Black is white. Slavery is freedom. Ignorance is good.

  17. drowningpuppies says:

Unlike little guy, the man released from detention at JFK says he likes Trump.

    Oh my!

  18. Jeffery says:

Many victims of tyrants fear the tyrant, especially when the tyrant has shown the willingness and capacity to harm the victim’s wife and children.

Fear and “liking” are not the same thing except to a con.

  19. Jeffery says:

Would the Covians consider it appropriate to attend a trumpy rally with an AR-15 and a sign that read, “It’s Time to Water the Tree of Liberty”, in an open carry state?

  20. Jeffery says:

In a statement, Representative Seth Moulton (D-MA) reacted to Trump’s Muslim ban executive order by saying:

President Trump is leading our country out of fear instead of facts. His executive orders banning refugees and immigrants from some Muslim-majority countries to the United States play right into the hands of our enemies. ISIS has already used his statements to help recruit new suicide bombers, and you can bet Trump’s policies will help inspire attacks against Americans both at home and abroad.

His policies literally put our troops’ lives at risk—I’ve heard this loud and clear when I have visited them overseas. They also prove he has zero understanding of our country’s values and no intention of defending our Constitution.

We are a nation of immigrants, and America is stronger when we welcome the refugees of our enemies. These policies do not put America first. I am ashamed that he is our president.

Rep. Moulton is an Iraq war vet who four tours in Iraq Marine Corps infantry officer.

  21. Rev.Hoagie® says:

Rep. Moulton is an Iraq war vet who four tours in Iraq Marine Corps infantry officer.

Very admirable of Rep. Moulton, I applaud him. But does that entire quote above sound like a war vet or a Rep.-(D-MA)? Moulton states he hear the troops “loud and clear” overseas but has he been there yesterday since Trump’s order was put out? No! So he’s lying to make a political point.

And when someone makes a stupid statement like:”We are a nation of immigrants,” I know he’s an idiot. We are NOT a nation of Immigrants, that’s a propaganda line from the America haters. We are a nation of CITIZENS. Immigrants can become Americans but until they do they are definitely NOT Americans. And I don’t know about you guys but I was born here, I did not immigrate. My wife did, she’s an immigrant. I’m a native American.

Also saying “America is stronger when we welcome the refugees of our enemies” does not make it so. America can be strengthened by may things but bringing refugees we need to support is not one of them. It’s good PR and it is good Christian Brotherhood but it does not add to out strength.

Finally a statement like: “These policies do not put America first. I am ashamed that he is our president” is strictly partisan, having nothing to do with and no relation to this clowns military service. In fact, it’s a sign of disrespect and action unbecoming of an officer. I’m ashamed a fellow vet would propagandize the safety and security of the United States to score points with his hate-America-first constituents.

The security of the US and the relationship of immigration to it should not be a matter of politics. I realize the left politicizes everything from light bulbs to homo rest rooms but the security of our nation is non-partisan. Well, at least it used to be and we should be able to share different ideas without being called names and being demeaned like this Moulton guy did.

  22. drowningpuppies says:

Rep. Moulton is an Iraq war vet who four tours in Iraq Marine Corps infantry officer.

At least he didn’t lie about his service to our country like that little guy did.

  23. Jeffery says:

At least I volunteered. Why didn’t the Little Butt Sniffer volunteer? Did you prefer that other men and women die in your place? You chose to have a young woman take your place in a war that you supported? Your family must be so proud.

  24. drowningpuppies says:

    You lied, little guy.
Man up and admit it, little coward.

  25. Jeffery says:

    You lied, Little Butt Sniffer.

Bitch up and admit it, little coward.

  26. Jeffery says:

Let’s all just understand and admit that trumpy’s Muslim ban has little to do with safety or national security, and has everything to do with mean-spirited political posturing. He’s still campaigning for the deplorables.

A mosque was burned yesterday in Texas. Deplorable.

  27. gitarcarver says:

As I said, a Federal judge granted an emergency stay to trumpy’s ban.

Except that the so called stay is very specific and not what you say it is.

You lied and as usual, got caught and won’t be adult enough to admit it.

Let’s all just understand and admit that trumpy’s Muslim ban has little to do with safety or national security, and has everything to do with mean-spirited political posturing.

The ban is not on Muslims as has been pointed out to you many times.

One must wonder why you feel the need to lie about these things.

You are incapable of an honest discussion because you have no morals or ethics in you.

  28. drowningpuppies says:

You lied and as usual, got caught and won’t be adult enough to admit it.

Yep, little guy tends to do that a lot.

  29. Jeffery says:

ALL you do is lie. It’s what cons do. You should apply for a job with trumpy’s communication group. We assume you’re white.

As we said, a federal judge granted an emergency stay to the incompetent trumpy’s Muslim ban.

It is clearly a Muslim ban. trumpy even non-strategically sliced his own throat by subsequently calling for preferring Syrian christians.

The incompetent buffoon even screwed that up. A Syrian family was turned back at the Philadelphia International. They were two brothers with their wives and children who had years ago fled Syria into Lebanon. One of the wives, Sarmad Assali and a child, Sarah, came earlier and had become US citizens. The family had started the immigration process in 2004 and all were granted status in 2015. An 11 year vetting seems pretty thorough – what more would trumpy find out by holding them for a day or two – or by sending them back? They were held shortly, not allowed to contact their US family until they were flying back. The family was sent back to an uncertain and potentially deadly future. The Assali family are Christians.

Please. If The Deplorables have any influence on trumpy please encourage him to value competence as well as ideology.

  30. drowningpuppies says:

Aw, little guy’s worried about Christians now.
    Bless his little black heart.
