Carly Fiorina Takes It To Katie Couric On “Climate Change”

This comes via Western Journalism

The scientists that tell us that climate change is real and caused by man made activity, also tell us that a single nation acting alone can make no difference at all. So, when I see a state like California destroy lives and livelihoods with environmental regulations that will make no difference at all to climate change, when I see the Obama administration take that same regulation and apply it nationally – it will make not difference at all, yet we’re destroying people’s lives and livelihoods – I wonder, why are we doing this? Why are we doing this when it won’t have any impact? So I think the answer to this problem is innovation, not regulation. But I must say, it angers me when liberals says “I’m prepared for you to lose your job in the name of sending a signal to…” whom? China could care less? In fact, China is delighted that we are not spending any time or energy figuring out clean coal, because they’re going to go do it.

Then we get

I think it’s ridiculous for the Obama Administration to call ISIS a “strategic distraction,” and then go on to climate change is the single most pressing National Security issue of our time.

As Steven Crowder notes

If people still don’t want to take her seriously, they at least need to start taking notes on how to handle the press. Because this dame’s got some stones.

By “people”, Steven surely means Republicans.

She had a good reponse which Im delighted in starting to see the right embrace….

Climate change IS AN ISSUE…..its just not the most important issue.

Whether the science proves it or not…..lets embrace climate change and lets tackle the problem….its a huge opportunity for the Right to score huge points and take over the scare tactic and fix it with market based solutions….

In other words….the right used to be pro military and the left used to spit on soldiers….now the left is pro military and the right is seen as cutting spending to the military for budget reasons….In other words……..

A FLIP FLOP……the left used to scream budget deficits and the military was not important……The right would scream the deficits are not that important and the military is………ala dick cheney who said deficits dont matter.

NOW today…..we have the left EMBRACING deficits and embracing the military and using deficits to fund the military while the right has about faced and became deficit hawks and are willing to cut the military budget because of deficits.

Climate change needs to be addressed….we need to innovate….we need to build alternatives….but not at the expense of millions of jobs because as she says and I have pointed out……

Its time for the right to take over climate change and put that serious capitalist engine to work taking this issue completely out from under their feet and working diligently to solve the problem….doing so will force the left to start portraying the right as wrong on HOW they are dealing with climate change…..

Removing the issue from their Repetoire and proving that climate change can be addressed with market based solutions and the opportunity for 1000’s of companies to profit in the alternatives industry as well as coal scrubbing and co2 sequestration.

Its time for the GOp to broaden their horizons and tackle some left issues and make them their own….its happened a 1000 times in the past with both parties flip flopping on issues for strategic sakes.

Climate change rug could be pulled out from under the left so easily as to be almost comical.

I really think this woman would be a good leader, of course anything but Hillary would be a good leader after Obama. But I really like the way this lady can articulate and think. Most of the doctors that I know seem to put her first on the list.

Trump! has 20 times the poll numbers she has. The GOP LIKES loud mouthed idiots.

  4. david7134 says:

You keep going on about the Republicans and Democrats. Would you name an issue in which these two parties differ. I do not mean that they talk about, but one in which they establish policy. To me, it seems we have one party.
