Mr. Obama’s teleprompter failed him again
President Obama used the word “tax†to describe the health care mandate under his reforms, a departure from his prior etymological stance that it is a penalty.
“By the way, if you’ve got health insurance, you’re not getting hit by a tax,†the president said during his Friday rally in Roanoke, his third Virginia campaign event of the day. “The only thing that’s happening to you is that you now have more security because insurance companies can’t drop you when you get sick.â€
Obama has spoken. The Mandate is now officially a tax. To quote Obama “”Don’t tell me words don’t matter.”

Meh, I think instead of taking one side or the other, Repubs should be focusing on both sides. Highlight that this tax (that can’t be used as a penalty) is being used as a penalty for not purchasing something from the government.
Failure to live an Obama-Approved lifestyle, will cause an additional tax to be applied until you come in to compliance. That is a penalty. That is a tax being used to penalize a consumer choice.
THe US Supreme Court ruled that this is not a tax in order provide a ruling on it. IF it was a tax, then they would have to not rule as no one is subject to its taxation yet. But then they ruled it is a tax in order to apply a ruling.
That is idiotic, psychotic and unconstitutional.
And yet, people seem to be ok with it. This country is done if we do not put laws back in control. Not regulations. Not foreign laws. Not feelings. Not red-tape. The only regulation that can legally be imposed are those directly passed by Congress.
Wake up people and take back your control.
