Taxing Millionaires Popular: Cutting Government Spending More Popular

You know what would solve this? A flat tax, where everyone pays the same percentage. It’s that whole “equal protection under the law” thingy

(Washington Post) Sixty-five percent of the people in the AP-GfK poll favor Obama’s plan to require people making $1 million or more pay taxes equal to at least 30 percent of their income. Just 26 percent opposed Obama’s idea.

Yet by 56 percent to 31 percent, more embraced cuts in government services than higher taxes as the best medicine for the budget, according to the survey, which was conducted Feb. 16 to 20. That response has changed only modestly since it was first asked in the AP-GfK poll last March. The question on Obama’s tax on the rich was not asked previously.

The poll also shows people favor Republicans on the economy, 45-43. And protecting the country. And managing the deficit. Taxes. And this is with a sampling of 84% registered voters, 29% Dems, 30% Independents, 25% Republicans.

Let’s see.. a summation of Chancellor Obama’s economic policies:

~ Increase unemployment and maintain it around 20%.

~ Prevent new exploration of hydrocarbon deposits.

~ Demonize and increase taxation on hydrocarbon producers and refiners.

~ Increase taxes on those who produce jobs.

~ Increase regulations on businesses still operating in US.

~ Increase operating taxes on corporations co-located offshore.

~ Decrease electric energy production by subsidizing failed alternative “energy” sources.

~ Slow the economy down by overtaxing a typical family by $200,000.

~ Increase taxes on “middle class” while demonizing the rich 1.0% and promoting the anarchists 0.1%.

~ Decrease US security by ignoring threats from enemies, placate radical islam, bow and cater to third world dictators, and throw allies under the bus through back-door insults.

~ Decrease US standing by decimating standing military and extant missile defense system.

~ Decrease US security by giving enemies missile defense secrets.

~ Decrease US stability by selling America to China and using borrowed tax dollars to buy borrowed tax dollars.

On the taxpayers credit card, of course.

You guys SLAY me. Where else can the truth be told???
Surely not any .gov website, and apparently we are are not interested in debating about anything but contraceptives and non-interesting irrelevant topics in the largely left leaning presidential debates, which our candidates choose to throw themselves into answering questions which the populous see as a ridiculous lack of test fires…
Can we please prove that at least one party has an adult in the room? NO ONE has used the FACT that our incumbent POTUS is NOT nor has ever been an ADULT, yet we have proven we could still LOSE!
    I am losing faith.

  4. Keep the faith, Trish. The election will be close, because Liberals are idiots and will still vote for this pathetic excuse for a president, but, the GOP will prevail, taking every state Bush took in 2004.

No need to lose faith Trish. Just take 16 two-week long vacations and all will be right in the world. I hear Aspen and Hawaii are nice.

Wait. What do you mean you can’t afford it? Why you unamerican so and so…….

(I agree. The debates have been moderated by slubs who wouldn’t know a real issue if it oozed out their anal orifices. I’d like to see a 3-way power sharing gov’t. Newt takes on the economy and judicial issues. Santorum handles social issues and protecting further erosions of freedom. Romney handles the press )

Love it- can we have all three in one, please?
I agree with you Teach- it’ll be a close one though. Very.
