TB Friday Featuring The Surrender Monkey: Surrendering From Surrender

Happy Friday to all! It’s that time of the week again! Do you have an interesting post you want to share with everyone? The official Surrender Monkey of the Democratic Party says to do what the Lefties don’t, since they all have the same talking points: link it

Once again, Democrats cannot even surrender correctly, and their supporters are not happy about it

The Democratic Party’s pretense of opposing the war in Iraq has largely collapsed following a series of defeats in the US Senate last week of Democratic-sponsored legislation proposing timetables for partial “redeployment” of the more than 160,000 troops currently occupying the country.

Nothing could make clearer the real position of the party, however, than the Democratic debate Wednesday night in New Hampshire, in which all three of the party’s leading presidential candidates—Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and former Senator John Edwards—refused to commit themselves, if elected, to withdrawing all American troops from Iraq by the beginning of their second term—in 2013.

For the first time, a Dem debate contained some tough questions, rather then beach balls designed to bring out the talking points, and it did not go well for the moonbat base. Great job, moderator Tim Russert.

Meanwhile, MorOn.org is launching a new hysterical (not the funny type) campaign, Americans for Exit

Here’s how it works: You send us a picture of you which shows how you feel about the war. Then, you’ll record a voice message to Congress. We’ll put together a big unveiling, use your photos and words in an ad campaign and deliver them to your members of Congress. We’ll make it impossible for them to ignore you.

How much do you want to bet that it ends up like the "Sorry Everybody" nuttery? Too bad elected Democrats aren’t listening!

Finally, libs are pissed off that Democrats voted to brand the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization, and are seething over the House vote to condemn the MorOn.org "betray us" ad (Hufftard Post)

By a vote of 76-22 (including 27 Democrats, a majority of the Democrats in the Senate) the Senate approved the Joe Lieberman/John Kyl Amendment declaring Iran’s Revolutionary Guards a terrorist organization, without so much as a hearing on the facts and the implications of such a resolution. (Note: It’s the legal job of the State Department to list terrorist organizations. Congress has never before voted to do so.) While Bush, Cheney and Giuliani bang the drums to extend the Iraq war to Iran, congressional Democrats handed Bush a loaded pistol which he can use to claim congressional support for military action against Iran. Democrats voting for the amendment included Majority Leader Harry Reid, Jack Reed, Carl Levin, Debby Stabenow, and worst of all, Hillary Clinton, the odds-on favorite to be the Democratic presidential nominee. In what’s starting to seem like a pattern of evasion, Barack Obama did not vote.

I have already noted in these pages that despite MoveOn’s impressive work opposing the war and helping to bring about a Democratic majority in the ’06 elections, the "Betray Us" headline was a tactical error.

Got that? Democrats voted to do the right thing, rather then the politically expedient thing, regarding Iran. MoveOn’s ad was only bad because it was a tactical error, not because it called a 4 star American general, serving in a war zone, a liar. The few commenters (individual posts tend not to get the pages and pages of insanolibaloon comments that the news stories do) were not happy campers.
