Choice For Abortion, But Not AIDS Testing For Pregnancies

Seriously, don’t you just love the hypocrisy from liberals?

New Jersey would become the first state to require both pregnant women and newborns to be tested for HIV under a proposal introduced by the Senate president.

The bill would require all pregnant women be tested for HIV twice, once early in the pregnancy and a second time in the third trimester. Every birthing facility in the state would have to test all newborns.

Senate President Richard J. Codey introduced the legislation on Thursday, which he described as a "no brainer." The Associated Press first reported on Codey’s plan in March.

"The key in the fight against HIV and AIDS is early detection and treatment," said Codey said Friday. "For newborns this can be a lifesaving measure."

First of all, the ability to choose to have an abortion is the paramount issue for the Democrat Party. "Keep your laws off my body" is one of their main slogans. Yet, here we have a Democrat controlled Senate in a Democrat controlled Blue state proclaiming that they want to mandate and compel women to be tested for HIV and AIDS twice, as well as their newborns. The hypocrisy is simply amazing.

Somehow, the crazy Supreme Court found a Right to have an abortion. Yet, the 4th gives us the Right to be secure in our persons. Sure seems that if this law passes, it would violate that Amendment. And, consider the 9th.

Second, where does it stop? What medical care will they want to force people to have next?

Third, to put it indelicately, the key to stopping HIV and AIDS is not early detection and treatment. Guess what? That means, yup! someone already has it. The key is proper education that, in the majority of cases, it spreads from unprotected sex, primarily involving homosexual men and anal intercourse. Facts are facts, no matter how disturbing.

The Soprano Blue State is proud of the 48 million abortions since 1973? NJ + DNC + 48 million abortions? RUTHLESS!
