I’ve been pretty out of the news blogging thing for about a week now, since I was on vacation. However, I have one question that may, or may not, have been ignored in the ‘sphere (I have only heard one person ask this on tv, so far): Who gave Valerie Plame’s name to Robert Novak?
That is something that people have seemed to skip over. Was it Rove? Novak is the person who should be focused on. Did Rove say the same thing to Novak that he said to Cooper?
I’m all for letting the Dems go after this non-story. Plame was not an undercover CIA agent operating in a foreign country. Furthermore, though I cannot find confirmation (yet) of this, supposedly Joe Wilson identified Valerie’s name on his own webpage before the report came out from Novak and Cooper. Joe Wilson is a confirmed liar. And now the Dems want to pull their "guilty until proven innocent" act. Too bad Rove isn’t a pedopheliac mass murderer. Then the Dems would have his back.
This is just another "booga booga" issue for the Dems. Nothing they have tried has worked. They are even forgetting their "issue that is going to toast Bush," ie, the Downing Street Memo’s. They truly are sad and misguided.
