Beer Monday: Who Says Bush Never Apologizes?

Monday. Time to get busy, do some hard work, kiss some serious booty sit back and enjoy the holiday, play some golf, drink a lot of beer, watch some baseball, and try not to burn yourself on the grill. Or anything else

Almost a year ago, I discussed a Wiccan soldier finally being allowed to have a Wiccan symbol on his memorial plaque on the Veterans’ Memorial Wall in Fernley, Nevada. Sgt. Patrick Stewart was killed in Afghanistan in September, 2005.

Now

U.S. President George Bush apologized to a Nevada Wiccan who was left out of a presidential meeting with relatives of soldiers killed in combat.

Rebecca Stewart, who sued to have the Wiccan symbol placed on her husband’s grave marker in a military cemetery, told The Washington Post the president called her to apologize. She said she explained to Bush the faith she and her husband shared.

That is the kind of thing that, despite the idiocy of his illegal immigration stances, reckless spending, and failure to fight the libs, makes conservatives follow Bush. He knew a mistake was made (a real one, not the BS ones that the Left always brings up), and he did what was right, called her up, and apologized.
