Did Donald Trump Finally Pivot, And, Is It Too Late?

Donald Trump has actually been making some fantastic speeches over the past week, ones that stay away from the typical over-the-top rhetoric and wackiness we’d been seeing previously. This should be obvious by the limited coverage his speeches are garnering from the Credentialed Media. Wouldn’t want to see Trump in a good light, right? Maybe that has changed?

Regretful Trump pivots 107 days late
The Republican nominee delivers one of the most comprehensive, on-message rationales for his candidacy to date.

Three and a half months after sealing the Republican nomination, Donald Trump pivoted to contest the general election on Thursday night, expressing regret for his past failures to “choose the right words” and delivering one of the most comprehensive, on-message rationales for his candidacy to date.

Speaking from prepared remarks on the heels of another staffing shakeup, Trump positioned himself as the champion of voiceless Americans against a corrupt and incompetent elite and the leader of an inclusive movement who repeatedly condemned “bigotry.”

His address, delivered at a rally in Charlotte, North Carolina, presented the sort of message Republican leaders have been waiting months to hear. But with 82 days left until the election and early voting only weeks away, even a flawless sprint to the finish line may be too little too late for Trump to salvage his flailing campaign.

This may seem like typical liberal media spin, but, it is a good point: is it too late? His speeches have been pretty cogent, responsible, and provided excellent policy choices, while also imploring blacks, Hispanics, gays, and others to stop voting for the party which has been pandering to them while keeping them down, namely, the Democrats.

Can it work? He seems much more focused on policy and attacking Hillary and the Democrats while asking for the votes of citizens (not Conservatives, at least not yet. Maybe he will?). Will he stay focused in this manner? Time will tell.

    Too late?!

There has not even been a single debate yet.

    Jezz. Get a grip.

He decided to listen to consultants.

The Donald has a chance as long as he keeps reading what KellyAnne Conway writes for him.

Can he attract new voters by pretending to be someone he isn’t? Will the Clinton machine not run tapes of the “old” Donald (from weeks ago).

  3. Jeffery says:

The Donald spent a year publicly insulting, mocking and ridiculing Gold Star families, POWs, Muslims, Republican opponents, Mexicans, women, Blacks, immigrants, the DC “establishment”, the media and gays.

    Why?

Wisely to garner the support of rabid, white, far-right extremists who vote in Republican primaries. Of course there are not enough rabid, white, far-right extremists to elect a President, so now his new consultants/DC Republicans are engineering a ‘makeover’. They need to thread the needle, keeping the far-right while attracting traditional voters.

Teach most Americans want the 11 million humans living in the USA without proper documentation to have a pathway to citizenship. Announcing THAT would be a good policy change.
As far as the paternalistic advice given to Blacks Hispanics and Gays on voting, Teach do YOU really think YOU know what is best for them ?

    But the good news is…

The Clinton Foundation will no longer accept foreign and corporate donations if Hillary Clinton is elected president.

The problem here, Han, is that by the time the debates roll around people are already early voting and sending in absentee ballots. Debates often do not change that many minds, and, if they’re up against football, could be problematic.

No, not too late and remember no matter what Trump regrets, to paraphrase Jeffery’s posting (3) above, Khan is still a progressive supporter of islam, McCain is still confused, radical islam is still at war with the US, Republican opponents are still enabling Hillary, illegal Mexicans (etc.) are still entering the county, Rosie O’Donnel is still a rather chubby bovine, Thugs are still thugs, no matter what color, illegal immigrants are still criminals, the DC establishment is still rotten to the core (she’s above the law?), the media is still the propaganda arm of the democrat party and Trump is strongly supported by my favorite faggot, Milo Yiannopoulos.

Yes I think Trump can win this election, no I don’t think it’s too late, and disagreeing with out host, Blackbeard (If only his parents had named him Edward), I don’t think the early and absentee ballots will sway the election and I do think the upcoming debates can and will change the minds of a multitude of voters.

Face it, Trump or Hillary, the only choice is Trump.

I read Jeff’s comment and I am amazed that he can function is such a cruel world. The fact is that Trump did none of the things that Jeff claims. But I see this repeated all through the MSM and by liberals. Trump said nothing incorrect about the Khans. He only questioned why the wife was not allowed the speak. Knowing full well that if she became emotional every time she thought of her son, the Dems would be having here up there constantly. Fact, Muslim women are not allowed to speak in public. Then we find that old Khan is a radical Islamist, his son died with honor and this creep uses his sons death to promote his cult. It turns out that I can speak just like Khan as I have 3 loved ones in harms way and don’t want Hillary killing them like she did the people in Libya. Trump is a very solid guy and one our country needs, Hillary is a lyin, crooked, murdering incompetent.

  9. Jeffery says:

Paul Manafort, we hardly knew ye!

  10. Jeffery says:

I’m not saying that all Trump supporters are face-eating murderers, I’m just asking what if 10% of them are.

david7134: He only questioned why the wife was not allowed the speak.

The presumption is false. She was allowed to speak, but chose not to.

david7134: Fact, Muslim women are not allowed to speak in public.

Fact, Ghazala Khan has spoken and written publicly.
