Mr. Krugman,
    I would say that it is time for you to move on from this, but, I know that will never happen with any Liberal. Al Gore did not win the 2000 Election. Despite the best attempts by the Democrats to circumvent the law (remember, only TWO recounts were allowed by Florida State law), Al Gore did not win. Despite Democrats blocking the counting of the military votes, Gore did not win. Despite the fact that 27 of 28 election precincts with problems being run by Democrats, Gore did not win (bet you forgot about that one). And the same thing happened in Ohio, where the majority of issues (I refuse to call people waiting in line fraud) occured in Precincts where Democrats were in charge (supposedly).
    I would like to tell you, like I tell all the other Dems when they go down this Loonacy Road, that, considering that the problems occured primarily in Democratic precincts, you might want to jump down the throats of the Democrats for being too incompetent to run election precincts, and fix those problems. But, ignore what I just wrote. Republicans will enjoy winning election after election, partly because Democrats are entirely unable to run their Precincts correctly.
"Meanwhile, the whitewash of what happened in Florida in 2000 showed that election-tampering carries no penalty, and political operatives have acted accordingly ."
Again, 27 of 28 precincts run by Dems. The other was run by an Independent.
The serious problems in Ohio? Dems, yup.
Keep up the good work of pushing people into the Republican Party!

More On Air Deadbeat

Looks like Air America Deadbeat owes more money then was originally thought. Via Michelle Malkin, comes a story from the NY Sun:

An attorney whose client is suing the Air America radio network said yesterday that the May litigation is part of a larger attempt by the client, an owner of radio stations, to collect more than $1.5 million it says it is owed.

The lawsuit filed by MultiCultural in May charges that the transfer of ownership of Air America to Piquant LLC from Progress Media in May 2004 was illegal and was intended only to maintain the network’s assets while abandoning its creditors.

"It’s called a fraudulent conveyance – same people, same assets, they are just trying to avoid their liabilities," Mr. Mastro said yesterday. "A company that has debts can’t just change its name, assume all the assets, and refuse to pay its liabilities. … The same individuals who contacted us and described themselves as Piquant were also part of the management and ownership of Air America."

And the New York Times had this to say:

Wow, that was deep, eh? Not one story since 8/13.

Something Worth Repeating

President Bush’s address to the Nation in front of a joint session of Congress, with Tony Blair in attendence:

From this day forward, any nation that continues to harbor or support terrorism will be regarded by the United States as a hostile regime. Our nation has been put on notice, we’re not immune from attack. We will take defensive measures against terrorism to protect Americans. Today, dozens of federal departments and agencies, as well as state and local governments, have responsibilities affecting homeland security.

Read the whole thing. Also, you can listen to the speech. We can go and kill terrorists willy nilly across the globe, but we have to stop the nations that harbor and support them.

Stop the ACLU

There is a rather interesting story out of Durham, NC:

Even the high school for the state’s science and math elite can’t find enough girls willing to become computer geeks. So it’s deleting boys from one of its techie classes.(at the NC School of Science and Mathematics

So, starting in October, the school will offer a computer science class for girls only. The hope is that without the know-it-all boys there, the girls will find the same allure in programming as they do in mapping genes and solving equations.

So, where is the ACLU in this? Why are they not jumping butting in, since this is obviously a sexist program? Why are they not protecting the Rights of the men to be treated equally? Will they get involved, or will they just ignore this?

But several NCSSM teachers chafe at the idea of segregating students.

"I think it would inevitably carry a message of, ‘There’s something wrong with you, that we need a special course just for you,’ " said Peggy Craft, a math teacher who has taught computer science. "It just seems wrong to pick gender as the way to do the division. The real issue is lack of confidence and lack of real experience."

So where are you, ACLU? I feel discriminated against. The ACLU is supposed to protect ALL our Rights, even against our wishes. But will they? I doubt it. They are hypocrites.

Just for reference, though I can see Ms Craft’s point, I support this type of separation. There are times where men and women need to be separated. Much of the rest of the article describes the conditions that cause women to not take computer classes. If this gets them to enroll in the classes, and participate without worry, great. Do it. I simply wish to highlight the ACLU’s hypocrisy. The ACLU has jumped in many times where it is a men’s only institution, such as the Citadel cases, without regard to the men’s Rights. But they fail to respond in a case such as this. And this IS a State funded school.

Huff Post: There was No Clinton: WTW

Hey, y’all, Jeb here. Teach told me to stay away from the Huffington Post, but I get a hoot out of watching moonbats pretend they think normally. Now, there must be some sort of alien control of the moonbats, due to irrational inability to mention Bill Clinton in a negative light. Case in point: Laurie David goes on a rant about, who else?, George Bush, saying that he missed a chance to change the regulations on fuel economy for the SUV’s and heavy trucks. On that, I will agree with her, furthermore, I believe, and have believed for a long time (like back into the 90’s), that SUV’s and trucks (pickups, that is) should not be excempt from fuel regulations. The proliferation of them and their crappy fuel milage is a travesty.

Problem with Laurie is her poor reading comprehension and her total avoidance of Slick.

When Congress originally exempted large SUVs in the 1980s, seeking to keep costs down for construction and agricultural businesses, no one foresaw that these gas guzzlers would be embraced by American families for non commercial uses. But billions spent on advertising by Detroit convinced the public that these cars-on-steroids were hip, and necessary for trips to soccer games, weekend picnics, school and church. The resulting petroleum addiction has driven us all the way to Iraq.

Gee, Laurie, I guess you missed something in the New York Times article you quoted:

When the current two-category system was created in the 1970’s, cars ruled the American road. Since then, automakers have developed new classes of vehicles that qualify as trucks, including S.U.V.’s, minivans and family-oriented pickup trucks with two rows of seats. As a result, not only is the number of vehicles on the road increasing, but the average new vehicle is getting lower mileage than it did two decades ago because so many more new vehicles are trucks. An increasing emphasis on horsepower is also a major factor.

Oops. Not 1980’s, honey. And, pray tell, when did the true explosion of SUV’s and pickups for personal use really explode? Yup, the 1990’s, while Clinton was President. Sure looks to me like Bill ignored the growing (sic) problem with these fuel hogs. I’m still surprised that Al Gore didn’t have a stroke. Maybe he has no blood pressure to start with. Who knows? But Laurie writes:

The administration’s renewal of this reckless exemption is a boon to big oil, Detroit, Iran, the Saudi sheiks, and Hezbollah — and America be damned.

But no condemnation for Clinton, huh, Laurie? Was he like a stealth President? He could have nipped this problem in the butt, but he chose not to. In essence, GWB is just continuing a policy that Bill presided over. Though, in the sense of fairness and reality, Bush 41 has a hand in this, too. Maybe Laurie should try the same thing. According to the Times article, there is no "renewal" of the exemption. It has been ongoing. First paragraph, Laurie

The Bush administration is expected to abandon a proposal to extend fuel economy regulations to include Hummer H2’s and other huge sport utility vehicles, auto industry and other officials say.

Now, that wasn’t so hard to understand, eh? Lower your Clinton block, Laurie.

Hey, Hey, buying a ship!

Finally buying my first home. Always loved apartment life, but it is time to go the home route. Nice little duplex at a golf community (homeowners dues pay for it), 1100 square feet. And it backs up to a pond and a river, so nothing can be built to screw up my view out the back! Check it out. The living room is green, and looks even worse in person. Air Deadbeat Flies South

Looks like Randi "Shrill" Rhodes (it’s a shame she shares almost the same name as the late, great, Randy Rhoads of Ozzy fame) wants to fly to Crawford to be there with Cindy "I’ve lost my mind" Sheehan. Does that seem insensitive to Cindy? Ask me if I care. She has gone too far. But, back to Randi, commercial travel is to pedanic for her (via Radio Equalizer, h/t to Captain Ed:

Steve Earle is very popular in Crawford! I want to go and do my show live next Friday from Camp Casey. It’s a hard remote but I can try to figure it out with G. I’m thinking about the details now..

Also, transporation is an issue, because it will take me a whole day to travel. I don’t want to miss a day on the air, and lose momentum. Flight to Dallas, on to Waco and then to Craford by car. So I was hoping that someone in the company would let me use their jet? I could take Steve with me and leave after Thursday’s show.

Air America has an $875K debt to the Gloria Wise Boys and Girls club, and she wants to take a private jet. As Dr. Evil says "Riiiiiiiiiiiiight."

Captain Ed wonders if he missed something. Well, not really missed, but, Randi did. She can take a flight from Laguardia or Newark to Waco on Wed on one of serveral airlines, which would take anywhere from 5 1/2 to 7 hours, with a stopover in either Dallas or Houston, anywhere from around $1100 to $1300 per person. Hell of a lot less in cost then a private jet, eh? It’s then aprox 43 miles from Waco to Crawford. If she left on an early flight she would be there just fine for the smelly hippy show at 3pm. Somehow, that is not "all day." She could catch the 6am out of Newark, NJ. Just a suggestion for a radio station that is hemoraging cash.

Glutton for punishment that I am, I have dove into the Randi Rhodes message board, and Yup! it is as bad as I expected. Profanity laced tirades. Of all the comments, this is my favorite (which is about Cindy being divorced):

Anton: No shame, no conscience, and no sense to mind their own fucking personal business.

Like the left is minding their own business, Anton? Hmmm? I guess it is more of the Leftist "free speech for me, but not for thee."

Anyhow, maybe Air Deadbeat should reconsider letter the Shrew fly on a company jet. Asshats.
