Israel Katz: ‘If Khamenei continues to fire missiles at Israeli civilians, Tehran will burn’
Defense Minister Israel Katz on Saturday threatened further action against Iran should more missiles be fired towards Israeli civilians.
“If Khamenei continues to fire missiles at Israeli civilians, Tehran will burn,” Katz said in a threatening message towards to Iranian Supreme Leader.
The defense minister made these statements after finishing a situational assessment with the IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, Mossad Director David Barnea, and other Israeli military leadership.
“The Iranian dictator is turning the citizens of Iran into hostages and bringing about the reality that they, and in particular the residents of Tehran, will pay a heavy price for the criminal harm to the citizens of Israel,” the defense minister added.

Israel can easily project force into Iran with almost no opposition. They can perform pinpoint strikes. If they want to decapitate the entire ruling class they can. Iran can throw some missiles and drones, but, they are limited.

Unprovoked, except by their own hubris, Russia invaded Ukraine. On the other hand, Israel invaded Iran, but with justifiable provocation. So, Mr teach’s analogy is not exactly analogous.
Mr teach is concerned that the United States aiding Ukraine against Russia may cause WWIII but the United States aiding Israel’s invasion of Iran does not. Not consistent, but OK.
IRAN is the number one state sponsor of terror. The rest of the Middle East hates, loathes and despises Iran.
What Iran has done to insulate themselves from attacks is to infiltrate surrounding nations with HEZZBOLLAH, HAMAS, SYRIANS, HOUTHIS and IRGC bases inside of the once liberated IRAQ…I have to laugh at George W. Bush for liberating Iraq on that one.
As a result IRAN created a state of fear in the Middle East as they had all of these heavily armed proxy states willing to die for Allah and the supreme leader of IRAN.
Over the course of the last 3 years. Israel said enough, and began dismantling HAMAS, HEZZBOLLAH, Syria and the the HOUTHIS. The USA helped a lot with the Houthis and Syria to the extent that the only real threat left when they took the war to IRAN was IRGC bases in IRAQ.
Russia is too weakened to give Iran new S300, S400 anti air defenses. China has been sending missles to Iran itching to see how they do in combat. So far they are doing about as well as can be expected given the Iron Dome, David’s Sling and the layered Arrow missle defense along with Jordan and the USA with destroyers off the coast of Israel shooting down incoming at the rate of roughly 92 percent.
Israel was attacked first by soldiers of Hamas, Hezzbollah, Syria and THE IRGC of Iraq led by Iranian National Guards. No different than the missiles flying from Iran itself. To even suggest that an attack on Iran was a first strike is nonsense Mr. Dowd. It is 3 years of restraint while they took out all the proxies and left Iran vulnerable.
War has changed. Israel unleashed 100’s of drones from containers smuggled and planted inside of IRAN. How many of these are in the USA? Surely a few….More to come.
One thing that doesn’t go noticed very often: Iran has to strike last, even though completely impotently, so that the mad mullahs can say that they’ve “won.” But Israel cannot let Iran strike last if that last strike kills a single Israeli.
