fElon Musk promised $2 TRILLION in savings. Federal spending is up 6% compared to Q1 2024.
fElon’s pledge to “moderniz[e] Federal technology and software to maximize governmental efficiency and productivity”, sounded great but fraud, waste and abuse is not why we’re spending more than we take in.
Defense/VA, Social Security/Disability, Medicare, Medicaid, Interest represent about 90% of spending. Foreign aid is/was less than 1%.

In related news… The economy contracted in 25Q1. Back-to-back negative GDP growth is an official recession so Forty-$even convened a cabinet meeting to have his lieutenants (with red MAGA hats on the table) tell him how great he is and how much they adore him. The objective was to find a way to avoid responsibility for the recession caused by his stupid trade war. Step one was to blame former President Biden. Step two is to adjust the tariffs. An ounce of image is worth a pound of performance. BTW, his cabinet meetings are reminiscent of the the documentary Idiocracy, where President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho is surrounded by his incompetent Cabinet. LOL
It’s past time for the other two branches of governmet to “grow a pair” and stop this destruction of America. To seize absolute power, Forty-$even declared an emergency when there was none, and started his stupid, counterproductive trade war. Congress and the courts need to take charge.
