House passes bill requiring proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections
The House passed a bill Thursday that would require proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections in an effort to codify one of President Donald Trump’s executive actions from his second term.
Lawmakers approved the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act in a 220-208 vote, with four Democrats — Reps. Ed Case of Hawaii; Henry Cuellar of Texas; Jared Golden of Maine; and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Washington state — joining every Republican present in support of the measure.
The legislation, sponsored by Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, would amend the National Voter Registration Act so that states would be required to obtain proof of citizenship in person from people who are registering to vote.
It would also require states to establish a program to remove undocumented immigrants from existing voter rolls and would allow American citizens to sue election officials that don’t follow proof of citizenship requirements.
But, can it get through the 60 vote threshold in the Senate? Of course we get headlines like

What documents would be required to register?
The SAVE Act compels states to reject any voter registration application in which the applicant has not presented “documentary proof of United States citizenship.”Among the acceptable documents for demonstrating proof of citizenship are:
- — A REAL ID-compliant driver’s license that “indicates the applicant is a citizen.”
- — A valid U.S. passport.
- — A military ID card with a military record of service that lists the applicant’s birthplace as in the U.S.
- — A valid government-issued photo ID that shows the applicant’s birthplace was in the U.S.
- — A valid government-issued photo ID presented with a document such as a certified birth certificate that shows the birthplace was in the U.S.
Probably 99.9% of American citizens already have these. Most illegals do not. Of course, Democrats think that women, and minorities, are too stupid to be able to get an ID, going through the minor hoops necessary to for the name change. Besides, most already are registered
“This has no impact on individuals that are currently registered to vote,” said Rep. Bryan Steil, a Wisconsin Republican who has been advocating for the bill.

She KNOWS that the SAVE Act is intended to suppress voters. 70 million spouses, mostly women, have taken their partners last name – so their current ID does NOT match their birth certificates. Representative Ocasio-Cortez KNOWS that women tend to support Democratic rather than Repubic candidates, 55-45. Less than 50% of Americans have a passport.

It is currently illegal for non-citizens to vote in federal elections and there is precious little evidence that illegal votes are cast. This is a blatant and obvious attempt to suppress the vote.
The Repubics may have to kill the filibuster to push it through the Senate.

As it happens, I was at the Richmond DMV this afternoon, planning to get a Real ID, though I changed my mind, in that I was unwilling to wait in line for three hours. As I was there, a manager-looking type was explaining to a couple that, among other things, if the name on the license did not match the name on the birth certificate, name-change documents would need to be provided. That’s part of Real ID, and the SAVE Act has not yet been passed! The left are combitching about a requirement that has already existed for twenty years!
It’s clear that the “great unwashed” are changing this nation, something with which our socialist from St Louie would not disagree, which raises the obvious question: are they changing the nation for the better, or for the worse? Our bastardy rate has skyrocketed, millions of kids are being reared by single women, with absent fathers, drugs are rampant, the building trades are suffering because young people don’t want to work these days, downtowns are dying because they’ve become unsafe, and crime is rampant.

What American citizens won’t be able to vote if this bill passes?
THIS IS REALLY NOT ABOUT VOTING. ITS ABOUT GERRYMANDERING DISTRICTS. Right now the Democrats should have at least 10 less seats then they do because of the 12-16 million illegals counted in the last census which determines how states set up districts for representation in congress.
They spent the last two years of Obama’s presidency flooding the USA with illegals which tended to be a huge CENSUS COCKUP so they could get better census numbers.
Then under 4 years of Biden they allowed another 10-12 million to flood into the USA so they could offset the 100’s of thousands of American citizens fleeing Blue states and thus altering their census strategy.
You see, Illegals count in the census. Just answer a few questions from the census worker and your presence in that county counts toward redistricting. It is why the LEFT made such huge inroads in Gerrymandering districts around the country.
It is why George Soros spends 100’s of millions of dollars on illegal caravans and illegal PACS helping these people change the very nature of the USA electorate.
