How many attendees will be taking fossil fueled trips to attend? And, seriously, this is Atlanta: have you seen the traffic there, all those fossil fueled vehicles slowly moving during rush hour? The airports? The stadiums? All the things to see and do?
Atlanta kicks off inaugural Climate Week to discuss climate change’s impact on region
Atlanta has officially launched its first-ever Climate Week, gathering environmental leaders, civic officials, and advocates across the region to confront the growing realities of climate change and discuss tangible solutions.
From rising temperatures to historic flash flooding, officials note that climate impacts are no longer a distant threat. According to data referenced from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), extreme weather conditions are actively shaping the current forecast.
One focus of the inaugural event is amplifying environmental education through unexpected cultural avenues, including hip-hop.

Atlanta’s Grammy-nominated hip-hop duo, EARTHGANG, stepped into the conversation fresh off their second visit to the United Nations, where they addressed the ongoing global climate crisis. Known for weaving environmental themes into their work, the duo took their appreciation for the outdoors a step further in their latest project by integrating the natural sounds of Georgia’s native wildlife and insects, including cicadas, directly into their music.
“To love Atlanta is to love nature. We are the city in the forest,” EARTHGANG’s Eian “Doc” Parker said.
OK, well, how much money are Atlanta citizens willing to be taxed/fee’d to pay for this? How much loss of life choices? Let me know, guys.

Atlanta is the festering boil on the otherwise healthy body of conservative Georgia. Fulton County, where Atlanta is located, gave 384,752 votes, 71.88% of the total, to the crackpot from California, and just 144,655 votes, 27.03%, to the master of Mar-a-Lago, proving how utterly stupid the denizens of the city truly are.
It’s a sad fact of life in urban areas: the public are just not that smart. Oh, they’ll claim to be highly edumacated, with plenty of diplomas on their walls, but they’re still, on the whole, just not very bright. As capitalism has made life good for Americans, made us the wealthiest and most powerful nation in the world, the urbanites want to throw it all away in favor of the failed notions of socialism and the government mandates of collectivism.
We have already seen what socialism has wrought, when it comes to liberty and prosperity, but urbanites are just plain too stupid to recognize it.
But hey, the ATL just had their second gay pride parade of the year last weekend. That’s gotta count for something.
The left in Atlanta is all up in arms now that a commercial is running on how Keisha, the dem running for governor, let the city burn during the Summer of Fiery but Mostly Peaceful Riots.
They even sent Cynthia McKinny to congress. She was the dumbest person in Congress at the time. Hard to say who holds that title now. Republicans in that district joined the Democratic party (since their votes as republicans wouldn’t count anyway) so that they could unelect McKinney at the primary. Year after year, it seems the Democrats intentionally select people who are intensely stupid to represent them in Congress. This works out fine because they are all just rubber stamp votes for whatever the Party bosses tell them to do.
The Nutty “Perfesser” lets fly at Cynthia McKinney as being dum(b). Ms McKinney has been out of office for decades!
For white nationalists “dum(b)” is their cover for “nigger”.
Repubicuns be dum(b). According to Dum(b)ass Donny, most Repubicuns didn’t even know that dum(b) has (b) in it!!
Some 65% of Georgians live in the Atlanta metro area, eschewing redneckistani Georgia.
Today, how popular is Diesel Don in outstate GA?
The kommenter persists in supporting his “arguments”, such as they are, with flawed ‘
“reasoning” – in this case the all-or-one fallacy.
Few seriously promote ending pure capitalism, but rather want it regulated. The current United States economic system is mixed capitalism with some social support (Medicare, Social Security, Medicaid, SNAP etc). But cuts in federal taxes and increased spending has led to massive debt that can “only be cured” with spending cuts on social programs.
We understand why the kommenter feels they must lie. Desperation.
For the last 25 years Americans have steadily reduced their carbon footprint by 1% per year. For Teach apparently this has caused him near unbearable pain in the loss of personal choices and emotional pain.
Dana bottom line is: rural areas have higher levels of poverty. The county you live in is 1 example.it is one of the poorest counties out of 30000+ in my country. Apparently you believe that lack of prosperity is due to ….. Socialism?
The demographics of your county show young people moving out heading for socialism? The demographics I found most shocking was in the young adults. A huge disparity with only 94 males for every 100 females. All the young men move out for better opportunities in educational employment and social opportunities. Leaving the elderly behind.
Funny that johnnie boy never posts any valid citations.
He would just cite someone else who is lying. So, no need.
