You know how they could avoid what they call “bad conditions” (which aren’t, it’s all made up to create sympathy): leave the U.S.
Approximately 500 participate in hunger strike at Folkston immigration detention center
Approximately 500 people in a Coastal Georgia immigration detention center are on a hunger strike, protesting conditions at the facility as well as what they say are violations of asylum protocols by U.S. authorities, according to family members and legal representatives.
Samantha Hamilton, senior litigation staff attorney at Asian Americans Advancing Justice Atlanta (AAAJ), said most of the people participating in the civil disobedience came to the United States seeking asylum from authoritarian and repressive national governments. The hunger strikers say they were following the legal process for their immigration claims, yet have been at the privately run Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Folkston for months or years awaiting judicial hearings.
Horseshit. Most came here for all the free stuff the Democrats promised them. No one said they couldn’t or wouldn’t be held until such time as their (BS) asylum claims were adjudicated. And how much “civil disobedience” is it when you refuses to eat? Have fun
The hunger strike is the latest controversy at the Charlton County facility, which is run by The GEO Group and, despite numerous complaints about unsafe conditions, is expanding to become the largest ICE detention center in the nation.
“There’s nothing illegal about seeking asylum. There’s nothing illegal about seeking sanctuary,” said Hamilton. “So this is just the natural next step in a long-time struggle of people being detained at this facility.”
Maybe not, but, there’s nothing in the law that says they cannot be detained until such time as said claims go through the system, at which time 10% or less are approved, and the rest get sent home.
“Some of us have been detained for months. Some people have been here for years. We are not serving criminal sentences. We are asking the United States for protection,” one of the detainees said in an audio recording obtained by The Current GA. “We are afraid that what inspectors see will not show how we normally live. We have serious concerns about the food, sleep conditions, medical care, and the length of our detention.”
Then tell ICE you want to leave the US. They’ll give you some money and a free flight out. It is that easy.

Will they be like the pro-Palestinian students
holding their breath until they turn bluehunger strikers? Thing is, a hunger strike is only effective if someone actually cares if you starve yourself to death.Let’s see if they really have the courage of their commitments, like Bobby Sands did.
Since we only have the activists’ word for it, there is no reason to believe anyone is missing meals. Everyone on the left lies about everything.
Bobby Sands was an IRA socialist. He belonged to an organization that were called terrorists.
26 + 2 = 1
Sands also was an ardent supporter of Palestine
Congress through “recession” can cancel previous funding
Bet on blue at the midterms
“Blue” is what started this whole invasion mess in the first place.
Absolutely the free stuff is the attraction. Look at how nyc, la, Chicago, Houston just to name a few places cater to the illegal aliens. Then look at how the blue hairs and the fatsos protect them. Then you are stupid enough to allow communist mayors and such and you have the perfect storm.
The free stuff will eventually run out and then the illegals look towards the citizens and the fun will start. But it won’t be fun. It will be brutal and ugly. We have food and shelter, the illegals want it. What do you think will happen?
I live one county over from Folkston. I don’t care if they’ve been there 50 years.
We save money on food and the illegals are still illegal. What’s the problem?
Oh good! The company and govt can save money on feeding them then. Maybe the money can be diverted to a fund and sent to some poorer US families so they can have a proper Thanksgiving meal. Win win situation IMO.
