Nutter Liberal Judge Blocks DOJ Subpoena Of Tim Walz, Democrats Over Minnesota Fraud

I guess it’s a legal system type of day

Judge Blocks Subpoena of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Minnesota Democrats

A federal judge blocked Department of Justice (DOJ) subpoenas of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) and other Democrats in the state, which the DOJ had issued to investigate the link between Somali corruption and local politics.

U.S. District Judge Patrick Schiltz issued a ruling on June 17 that was unsealed on Monday, according to Politico. In his ruling, Schiltz explained that “initiating a criminal investigation in order to harass political opponents” was an “unlawful and unethical use” of the grand-jury process.

“Initiating a criminal investigation in order to harass political opponents or to coerce them into taking official action — particularly official action that the federal government cannot directly require those political opponents to take — is a blatantly unlawful and unethical use of the grand-jury process,” Schlitz said.

The grand-jury didn’t think so, as I guess they paid attention to the actual evidence. Like the $9 billion in fraud that happened under Walz’s watch and all the whistleblowers.

Also, where was Schiltz when Obama’s DOJ was going after Trump and his people, coordinating with NY and Georgia?

Schiltz also pointed out that the U.S. Constitution prevents the federal government from “forcing states to enforce federal laws,” and added that the subpoenas were part of the “Trump administration’s well-established history of using criminal investigations” to go after Trump’s opponents.

The ruling from the judge comes after the DOJ issued subpoenas in January to Walz, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (D), St. Paul Mayor Kaohly Her (D), along with Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, and Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty.

Breitbart News reported in January that Jim O’Neill, the deputy secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), shared that “Somali-run taxpayer fraud is a core part” of the Minnesota Democrats’ machine.

Will the DOJ comply, considering that this is a massive overstep of power by Schiltz in interfering with federal investigations in fraud where federal money is involved? How many weeks till a superior court overturns Schiltz? I’m guessing 2. But, that gives Walz and others a chance to try and clean things up.

Trump’s DOJ has a piss poor record of getting convictions on Trump’s “enemies”
Thank God we have juries to protect us from political prosecutions.

Nutter Teach disparages conservative U.S. District Judge Patrick Schiltz (appointed by President George W. Bush) because Teach worships Mad King Donny. The U.S. DOJ is being used by Donny to attack political enemies. So Teach lied again. Ho hum.

Judge Schiltz clerked for Justice Scalia and Justice O’Connor. Schiltz served as a professsor at Notre Dame Law where one of his star students was future Supreme Court justice Amy Coney Barrett, whom Schiltz helped get a clerkship with Justice Scalia.

Will Teach apologize for carelessly misleading his hapless readers?

  4. Elwood P. Dowd says:

Shouldn’t Fat Donnie be prosecuted for every crime committed under his administration and under his watch? How much was wasted on the Reflecting Pool, Iran, tariffs and paybacks, his Ballroom, billions in military waste, etc.

  5. Alias says:

Teach has gone so far over the rainbow that he believes anyone not supporting Trump is a “nutter”
