I really don’t want to do this insane stuff, but, gotta do it
How climate change helped the Blizzard of 2026 become a blockbuster
As a big snowstorm was set to roll across the eastern half of the United States last month, President Donald Trump took to social media to question the scientific consensus about climate change.
“WHATEVER HAPPENED TO GLOBAL WARMING???” the president wrote.
Climate skeptics are probably asking similar questions this week, after a massive blizzard dumped what appears to be record-breaking amounts of snow on Rhode Island and other parts of the Northeast.
But scientists say Monday’s extreme storm, that people are still digging out from under, is consistent with what they know, as weather patterns shift and become more volatile with the warming planet.
“While it’s difficult to pin any single storm directly on climate change, we do know that climate change is making extreme weather events happen more often and with greater intensity,” state climatologist Joe Poccia said in an email.
These people. Just nuts.
Yeah, that’s all from globull warming. Right. Love the guy jogging. There’s always that one. Or, maybe his wife sent him on a Dunkin run.

Concerning Trump’s ballroom and the judge’s ruling.
A key part of the National Historic Preservations Act of 1966 is the Section 106 review process. It outlines steps for various stakeholders and agencies to follow, such as determining whether any one project would have adverse effects on a structure, and developing alternative approaches that would avoid or minimize these effects on these properties.
****However, three buildings and their grounds are exempt from the Section 106 requirements: the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Capitol building and the White House.****
Even though the Judge encouraged them to continue returning with more lawsuits against the ballroom and Trump, ultimately, the facts are quite clear. Trump does not need oversight by other groups, and it is questionable if he needs congressional approval. Congress was always necessary because it is they who would provide the funding which in this case is all handled by donations and not a penny of taxpayer money is required.
Facts are indeed facts even if Judges still continue to suffer from Trump Derangement Syngrome.
The people that get upset and think individual weather events are indicators of global climate change tend to be young and ignorant. They lack perspective, both historical and scientific, on what the world has been in the past. And in fact, there is no living person who has enough personal experience with what weather can be like to make valid conclusions about climate change.
Weather, on a planet with a tilted axis and thus seasonal variations, has an enormous amount of natural variability. Observable climate changes over centuries, millenia. Not months or years, or even decades.
But throw in the financial incentives to “research” and “model” climate change from the professional scientific-government industry, and you find there are a lot of rice bowls that nobody wants to upset or take away.
