The lovely Ms Babbitt was crawling through a window busted by her confederates. The Capitol Building had been breached by a violent mob screaming “Hang Mike Pence”. The mob had already beaten dozens of Capitol Officers.
Ms Babbitt was backed by a hundred violent men ready to follow her in.
She was entering the Speaker’s Lobby just off the room where Congresspersons were sheltering in place. The officer warned her to stop several times. Perhaps she didn’t here him. Perhaps she didn’t respond. Should the officer have let her through and arrested and handcuffed her? Would the other 100 people behind her have cooperated?
