The thing about nuclear power plants, unlike solar and wind projects, the government doesn’t need to bankroll them. Just stop denying the permits. Nuke plants pay for themselves and generate a healthy profit on top of that. Just like all those gas stations, pipelines, and oil refineries paid for themselves with profits added, unlike EV charging stations.
Absotively, posilutely right. Don’t bankroll nuclear power plants, just permit them and get the Hell out of the way.
Let the private sector invest in nuclear power plants. The market should decide, not the federal government! Let Little Donnie and other billionaires finance this.
We hate to be too cynical, but the big question is how does “investing Billions if not Trillions of taxpayer dollars” benefit Little Donnie, his family and/or his “friends”?
After all, we do not need any “alternative” energy sources as long as we “drill, baby, drill” oil/gas and “dig, baby, dig” King Coal!! We have a millenium worth of “fossil fuels”!!

Currently no insurance company will even insure the construction cost bonds required to even begin construction of a nuke like any built in the past. l
