As usual, moonbat judges are high on feelings and short on law. What will happen is that the Trump admin will appeal, and there’s about a 90% chance the appeals court will say that Judge Sara has vastly exceeded her authority.

Trump saying hello to Judge Sara
A US appeals court has temporarily blocked an order curtailing federal immigration enforcement in Chicago, arguing the lower court judge overstepped when she imposed strict and wide-reaching restraints on how agents can interact with protesters and journalists.
A three-judge panel for the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals on Wednesday granted the Trump administration’s emergency request to pause the order issued by US District Court Judge Sara Ellis earlier this month.
In an incremental victory for the Trump administration, the appeals panel concluded Ellis’s order was “too prescriptive,” writing in their decision that she is “impermissibly infringing” on the separation of powers between the executive branch and the courts. (snip)
The judge also ordered the government to turn over extensive use-of-force records and other internal records.
But the appeals panel criticized the scope of Ellis’ order, saying it is so detailed it “resembled federal regulation.” They wrote that the order is so sweeping, it applies to almost any law enforcement personnel within the executive branch.
Huh. Now, it’s a temporary pause on Judge Sara’s order to adjudicate it all, but, the appeals court is also noting that the Chicago operations are winding down, so, the plaintiffs might not have standing, and that Judge Sara is an activist idiot.
These judges pretty much know that their orders will be overturned, but hope that perhaps, just perhaps, a few of the things they throw against the wall will stick.
Much of it is the tactic of delay. They know that, in the end, the Trump Administration has the responsibility of enforcing our immigration laws, but every delay they can create could possibly help a few more illegals evade deportation past January 20, 2029, hoping further that that date will see the inauguration of a Democrat.
An alternate hypothesis to dana’s is that different judges have differing interpretations of the laws. That is why we have levels of judicial review.
United States District Court Judge Ellis chastised head goon Greggy Bovino for lying about the threats the goons and thugs faced. Greggy had lied about having a rock thrown at him to justify his use of tear gas on American protesters. United States District Court Judge Ellis further suggested that tear gassing protesters could discourage protest.
