Elissa Slotkin, Fellow Dems Tell Military to Engage In Insurrection

Insubordination? Mutiny? This sounds pretty bad, and, I do not remember anyone on the Right telling the military to ignore Biden’s orders

Let’s see

(The Hill) A coalition of Democratic lawmakers with military and intelligence backgrounds urged servicemembers and those in the intelligence community to defy any illegal orders.

The video, which is edited to show multiple lawmakers reading one statement, comes as President Trump has carried out deadly boat strikes in the Caribbean, near Venezuela.

“We know you are under enormous stress and pressure right now, Americans trust their military, but that trust is at risk. This administration is pitting our uniformed military and intelligence community professionals against American citizens like us. You all swore an oath to protect and defend this constitution,” the lawmakers said in the video.

“Right now, the threats to our Constitution aren’t just coming from abroad, but from right here at home. Our laws are clear,” they added. “You can refuse illegal orders…you must refuse illegal orders. No one has to carry out orders that violate the law or our constitution.”

What could possibly go wrong with this? I’m sure the DOJ can figure out a charge for these Democrat Senators if a service member is caught up following their advice. They are advising, at a minimum, for service members to commit insubordination, and you know most really do not have the knowledge to understand what is not a lawful order. At worse, they are calling for mutiny, for a coup.

(Newsmax) The lawmakers acknowledged they were asking troops to make difficult judgments during what they called a “hard” moment for public servants.

“But whether you serve in the CIA, the Army, the Navy, or the Air Force, your vigilance is critical,” they said. “The American people need you to stand up for our laws and our Constitution.”

All this caterwauling primarily because the military is blowing up narco drug boats. These are same people who spent 4 years whining about J6.

Senatrix Elissa Slotkin and other veterans in Congress address the military, and say ‘The American people need you to stand up for our laws and our Constitution.’ But that’s just it: they’re pissed about President Trump actually enforcing our laws. They don’t like him enforcing our immigration laws and they don’t like him enforcing our drug laws. And with the (purportedly) upcoming measure to drug test SNAP and other welfare recipients, they’ll hate it even more.

Me? If you can afford to buy illegal drugs, then you can afford to buy your own food as well, and there’s no f(ornicating) reason we should be taxed to subsidize people buying illegal drugs.

Many good, hard-working Americans, including me, have been subjected to random drug tests to keep our jobs. Every member of our Armed Forces is subjected to random drug tests, to stay in the military. I can’t think of a better way to reduce our welfare expenditures than getting the lazy dopeheads and junkies off the dole.

My position on random drug tests by corporations was always Hell No, and in 20 yrs in corporate America was never drug tested.

But that’s just it: they’re pissed about President Trump actually enforcing our laws…

And they are really pissed that he is using the military to defend our nation instead of foreign adventurism. With nearly a trillion dollars in budget authority every year, the capabilities of the US military to accomplish such tasks is staggering.

Too bad these idiots can’t or won’t point out which “orders” are illegal.

But shouldn’t our military disobey illegal orders?

U.S. service members take an oath to uphold the Constitution. In addition, under Article 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice and the U.S. Manual for Courts-Martial, service members must obey lawful orders and disobey unlawful orders. Unlawful orders are those that clearly violate the U.S. Constitution, international human rights standards or the Geneva Conventions.

Service members who follow an illegal order can be held liable and court-martialed or subject to prosecution by international tribunals. Following orders from a superior is no defense.

Should a private shoot 12 prisoners when ordered by the Lieutenant?

Should a General order a nuclear bomb be dropped on Venezuela if ordered by the commander-in-chief?

BTW, U.S. Senator Slotkin was recruited by the CIA after graduate school. Fluent in Arabic and Swahili, she served three tours in Iraq as a CIA analyst. During the George W. Bush administration, she worked on the Iraq portfolio for the National Security Council. During Barack Obama’s presidency, she worked for the State Department and the Department of Defense (DOD). From 2015 to 2017, Slotkin was acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs, where one of her responsibilities was securing Israel’s qualitative military edge.

Trump is rapidly becoming completely and frighteningly unhinged.

Finally, an example of an insurrection would be trying to overturn a national election, first by illegal “lawfare” and finally by violence.

Let’s say your demented president orders the Army and Marines, occupying American cities, to shoot protesters. Should the troops follow that order?

Or what if he orders Marines to detain all Congress members?

What if he orders the invasion of Greenland?
