Progressives Grapple With Their Beliefs Causing Murder Of Jews In D.C.

They think it betrays their values. I’m not sure how, because hating Jews/Israel and supporting radical Islam is part of their values, and has been for a while

‘It betrays our values’: Progressives grapple with deadly shooting

Progressives are grappling with the killing of two people who worked at the Israeli embassy in Washington by a gunman who echoed a slogan that has become a rallying cry for many American liberals since the start of the war in Gaza.

After his arrest, the man suspected of killing the couple outside the Jewish Museum in Washington on Wednesday night exclaimed “free, free Palestine,” a phrase that has become ubiquitous at peaceful demonstrations and on social media over the past 18 months.

The attack brought renewed focus to a strain of violent radicalism on the left, even as progressives pointed out they share nothing with the gunman except his apparent support for Palestinian rights. What the attack did, they said, was hurt their cause.

“It betrays our values and hands more power to those already pushing authoritarian crackdowns,” said Layla Elabed, an organizer in Michigan and the leader of the Uncommitted National Movement, which arose in protest of U.S. support for Israel’s response to the Hamas attack launched on Oct. 7, 2023.

A fringe, more radical wing of the pro-Palestinian movement has blinked in and out of national attention since the onset of the war in Gaza. Thousands of protesters have been arrested, including dozens who forcibly entered and occupied university buildings. And last year, POLITICO reported that an online network of pro-Palestinian activists in the U.S. included resources on how to “escalate” political actions beyond legal bounds, as well as pro-Hamas content.

Were all those who’ve been protesting on college campuses and in the streets part of the “radical wing”? That’s a lot of people in the radical wing. How about all those wearing Intifada keffiyehs, a sign of murdering Jews and erasing Israel? Just a small group? Those yelling “from the river to the sea”? A small group? All those railing against Jews and Israel online?

Asked if members of the left are doing any soul searching, Kevin Rachlin — the Washington director of the Nexus Project, a left-leaning Jewish advocacy group — said, “I think they are.”

“This is more and more proof that we need to address antisemitism as a full society versus addressing [it] on the left or on the right,” Rachlin said.

Well, I can’t say I am surprised by that answer: when busted for things they have done, like, say, fake hate hoaxes, Democrats tend to say we need to look at it as a whole, not that their people are batshit insane.

Antisemitism historically and in recent years has more closely been associated with fringe groups on the alt-right, including most notably the 2017 “Unite the Right” neo-Nazi march in Charlottesville, Virginia. President Donald Trump himself dined with white nationalist and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes at his Mar-a-Lago resort in 2022.

Yes, there are wackos on the far right who are Jew haters. They kinda hate everyone. But, they aren’t also taking the side of Islamists. And they gained their Jew hatred elsewhere. Democrats learned their Jew hatred and support of radical Islam from their fellow Progressives, particularly in college. And, it is nothing new. This is Time Magazine on May 22, 2025

The Rise of Antisemitism and Political Violence in the U.S.

It’s rather antiseptic, providing data, and, then, of course, J6, but, it fails to dive into where it comes from. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, though a bit more briefly: this is planned by the Islamists, particularly the Muslim Brotherhood and the groups associated with it. It started getting much stronger in the mid-1990s, not just in the U.S. but in European countries and Australia. This is what the MB wanted, part of their playbook: a soft integration of the Western World. Get the West to comply with Islamist beliefs. Integrate them into society. Integrate them into actual law. Create Sharia law, and force the West to comply. Because they want to comply.

They teach this in colleges. The members of the Muslim Student Association, a Muslim Brotherhood backed group, teach it, spread it. It’s a soft push, hitting all the hot buttons of malleable liberal minds. The US government has continued to allow these crazies into the US, even after the first World Trade Center bombing, and, more importantly, after the attack on 9/11. And the hard rise of extreme Islamism after. Britain saw their 7/7 attack, and then still prioritized bringing Islamists into the nation. I could keep going, but, you get the idea, and know lots of this yourself.

Supporters of the pro-Palestinian movement, including liberal lawmakers, found themselves on the defensive after the shooting outside the Capital Jewish Museum in a way that conservatives have had to respond to far-right violence in recent years.

If they are on the defensive, perhaps it’s because Jew/Israel hatred is embedded within the Democrat party. Most in the GOP do not have to defend anything, because those far-right wackos are pure fringe and have nothing to do with the GOP. We don’t bother with them. Jew hatred is part of the Democrats. They’ve elected radicals, such as Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib.

Now, some pro-Palestinian activists worry the shooting, which federal authorities called a targeted act of antisemitism, could set back any progress they’ve made in their policy goals amid an increasingly dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza and an expansion of Israel’s military operation in the decimated territory.

They got what they were pushing for: Jew deaths. Own it.

The photo above? That’s from the old Zombietime website. From a march in San Francisco on March 20th, 2004. The Jew hating radicalism was emanating from the colleges, and, as the kiddies graduate they keep those beliefs.

Let’s tell the truth here: they aren’t concerned that it somehow betrays their values, but The Philadelphia Inquirer’s far left columnist simply fretted that it would hurt their cause.

Of course, our good friend from Missouri will disagree. He wrote, just yesterday evening:

Mr Dana claims there are a few conservative anti-Semites, but that the American left is loaded with them! Nonsense. Again, Mr Dana conflates opposing Israel’s bombing of civilians with anti-Semitism.

Conservatives became “pro-Jewish” after 9/11 as their fear of Muslims increased.

Why does Mr Dana believe that the 5.5 million American Jews support the Democratic Party? Are they naive? Stupid?

Some of us were “pro-Jewish” well before September 11th, but by that we were, and are, pro-Western civilization. It didn’t take 9?11 for us to realize that Israel represents Western civilization, the last outpost of Western civilization, before the frontiers of barbarism.

As to why American Jews vote heavily Democratic, yes, they are naïve, and yes, some of them really are stupid. A large percentage of American Jews are urbanites, and urbanites are heavily infected with urban culture, excusing crime, excusing uncivilized behavior. Too many liberal urbanites believe the claims that Islam is the ‘religion of peace,’ even as the Muslims openly tell you that they intend to conquer and kill the West, and impose barbaric Shari’a law on all of the survivors. The people who have ‘educated’ the ability to distinguish between the sexes out of themselves have also managed to ‘educate’ the ability to see what is right in front of their faces out of themselves as well.

Some American Jews simply distrust an overtly Christian party, and that causes some to vote for Democrats, who are clearly not Christian, with many being actively anti-Christian. Sadly, that puts some of them in the same category as the “Queers for Palestine,” championing a people who would kill them. If the Islamists actually won, the Westerners who support them would be shocked, shocked! to find themselves among the first to be lined up against the wall.

Mr Dana of KY, the state not the sexual lubricant, typed:

American Jews vote heavily Democratic, yes, they are naïve, and yes, some of them really are stupid

Some 40% of the world’s Jews call America home!!! Mr Dana claims that most American Jews are naive and stupid!! That’s incredibly anti-Semitic, right?

As I said, the right-wing’s (for now) faux support of Jews stems from their abject fear of Muslims. The enemy of my enemy is my friend! 9/11 destabilized many Americans, even converting some libs to conservatives! Fear does that.

Muslims plan to take over the United States! Sharia law! Murder and mayhem! Throwing gays off buildings! There are about twice as many Jews in America as Muslims.

The Catholic but not catholic Mr Dana repeats a litany of why Muslims are bad for America.

Yes, Jews are white and are more “like” us. For now. Ask any American Jew whom they fear more – the American right (Jews Won’t Replace Us!) or the American left (ACLU etc)…

The Israeli/Hamas/Gaza tragedies are a cosmic blip, but the the far-right is using it to destroy Amerca’s greatest universities. Why? The far-right fears education, reason, thought and science.

      • Dana says:

Former Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism under President Biden, Ambassador Deborah Lipstadt, said that there’s no question that calls for “Free Palestine” are calls to violence.

        The distinguished Mr Dowd wrote:

Yes, Jews are white and are more “like” us. For now. Ask any American Jew whom they fear more – the American right (Jews Won’t Replace Us!) or the American left (ACLU etc)…

How interesting that our anti-Semitism apologist from St Louis picked two small minorities on the right and the left to make his point. The tolerant faction of the American left are being replaced, to use his word, by the anti-Semites calling for Israel to be defeated and destroyed. No, American Jews aren’t afraid of the ACLU types, but they’ve been thoroughly alarmed by the campus radicals and the Squadristi in Congress.

  3. Wylie1 says:

Odd that the MSM never mentions who started the war in Gaza. Hamas started the war and got their asses whooped. TFB, losers. Ya can’t start a war then complain because you lost. Doesn’t work that way. They’re lucky anyone on their side is still alive.

    • Dana says:

Yes, Hamas started a war they couldn’t win, and have gotten their candy asses kicked, but they’re still alive, like Adolf Hitlers minions and hangers-on, refusing to surrender.

Nazi Germany could have surrendered at the end of 1944, when it was obvious that the war was lost for them, and saved Germany a lot more death and destruction, even though it would have meant the capture, imprisonment, and execution of the top German leaders. Well, they fought on, Germany was even more destroyed, and those top German leaders still suffered the fate they feared.

Hamas could surrender, and their top leadership — the ones still alive, that is! — would be imprisoned or executed, if they didn’t hide out in Qatar at any rate. The hostages would be freed, and Gaza would take no more of a beating, but let’s tell the truth here: the Hamas leadership don’t give a f(ornicate) about the ‘Palestinian’ people.

Conservatives Grapple with Their Beliefs Causing Murder of Babies and Children in Gaza

Not really. Conservatives are by nature cruel and ignorant with little capacity to “grapple with their beliefs”.

MAGAts hate it when it’s pointed out that their followers commit violent crimes based on their ideology. Dylann Roof, Robert Bowers, Payton Gendron, Patrick Crusius, Anders Breivik, James Fields, Brenton Tarrant, Edgar Welch, Timothy McVeigh, Richard Poplawski, Christopher Harper-Mercer, 1600 on Jan 6 and hundreds more. White supremacists, neo-Nazis, sovereign citizens, anti-immigration, anti-abortion, anti-gov’t, incels (anti-female), MAGAts, QAnoners, Islamophobics, anti-Semites …

Do youse guys believe your beliefs/ideology incite your followers to commit violent acts?

Knock it off, Teach, you’re embarrassing yourself. (LOL, we know far-rightists are incapable of embarrassment)

    • drowningpuppies says:

Knock it off Rimjob you’re embarrassing yourself.

Whenever leftwing terrorists chant in favor of the “intifada” — a violent jihad against Jews and Christians — the media rushes in to claim that the word “intifada” needs context and maybe the notions of intifada (and jihad, which they often claim just means “an internal struggle”) are too complicated for people to understand.

Boy it sure seems like “intifada” means exactly what we think it means.

      Fat jeff,
You do realize that a major part of the Islam cult is to kill all infidels. Like you.

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

        Ugly david,

You let your fears control you. Sad.

Islam is just as silly, if not sillier, than christianity. And each have several sects, e.g., Quakers, Mormons, Catholics, Shakers, 7th Day Adventists, Anglicans, Amish, Mennonites, Hutterites, Assyrian, Eastern Orthodox are all “christians”. You got your Sunni, Shia, Sufi, Wahhabism, Druze and more Islamic sects. There are some 20 Jewish sects. Most think they have the truth and the others are false.

Judaism is the least silly of the Abrahamic sects.

For now, murder is still against the law in the U.S, but our MAGAt friends are working hard to break our Constitutional Republic, that it may not hold.

        • drowningpuppies says:

Rimjob working hard at justifying his progressive murderers.

Except, of course, the “Quakers, Mormons, Catholics, Shakers, 7th Day Adventists, Anglicans, Amish, Mennonites, Hutterites, Assyrian, and Eastern Orthodox” aren’t advocating killing each other, and aren’t advocating killing Muslims. Some of your “Sunni, Shia, Sufi, Wahhabism, Druze — OK, not the Druze — and more Islamic” sects do advocate jihad against the infidel West. Iran isn’t sending flowers and whatever is the Muslim version of rosaries to the ‘Palestinians’ and Hezbollah; Iran has been sending weapons. Anglicans haven’t been throwing queers off of buildings; that has been the militant Islamists.

2nd Amendment is there so that all people in the USA can easily obtain guns to do what they feel necessary, as long as they are willing to personally pay the costs of their actions.
2nd Amendment protects The People from tyrannical governments
    Mr Teach believes so
The occasional murder of some Irealis or some kids in school is just the small price we must pay for our beloved 2nd Amendment

You Covians are getting crazier every day!!

At least old school conservatives had an ethos. You MAGAts just agree with whatever your Lard and Saver says! Cult. Increase the debt? Sure. Gut capitalism? Why not?

LOL. How cute. Pretending the Nazis were progressives! Are the neoNazis and skinheads libs?

            Read on you stupid sot…

            Nazis vs Socialists

            1. Ideological Differences:

Rejection of Marxist Socialism: The Nazis vehemently opposed Marxist concepts like class struggle and internationalism, central tenets of traditional socialism.

Focus on Nationalism and Racism: Nazi ideology prioritized extreme nationalism, racial purity (specifically Aryan supremacy), and antisemitism, ideologies incompatible with socialist principles of equality and international worker solidarity.

Authoritarianism and Dictatorship: Nazism advocated for a totalitarian state and a single-party dictatorship under the Führerprinzip, fundamentally rejecting democratic socialism and worker control.

            2. Actions in Power:

Suppression of Socialist and Communist Parties: Upon gaining power, the Nazis brutally suppressed and eliminated socialist and communist parties, trade unions, and other left-wing organizations, demonstrating their hostility to socialist ideals.

Privatization and Support from Big Business: The Nazi regime privatized many state-owned industries and received significant financial support from wealthy industrialists who saw them as a bulwark against communism.

Economic Policies Serving the State: While the Nazi state intervened heavily in the economy, its policies prioritized rearmament, military buildup, and autarky (economic self-sufficiency) to serve the state’s agenda, not socialist goals of worker empowerment or social ownership of the means of production.

            3. Historical Context:

Strategic Use of “Socialist”: The Nazi Party’s inclusion of “socialist” in its name was largely a strategic move to attract working-class voters and distinguish themselves from both traditional right-wing parties and Marxist socialists.

Limited Appeal to Socialist Ideas: While some early Nazi members may have held genuine socialist leanings, these were eventually marginalized and eliminated by Hitler and the party leadership.
