A federal judge just ordered that Rümeysa Öztürk be released on bail immediately. In case you forgot, Ms Ozturk is the Tufts’ graduate student with a legal visa* abducted by six ICE agents off the street some 6 weeks ago. The masked agents handcuffed her and led her to an unmarked vehicle. She has been held in detention centers in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and finally Louisiana.
She was kidnapped by the U.S. government for writing a school newspaper editorial criticizing Tufts’ response to the brutality in Gaza. Little Marco Rubio, 47’s secretary, claimed that Ms Ozturk was a threat to U.S. foreign policy, which is just fugging bullshit.

Once again, Fat Ellie tells on himself and the Democrat party. It was Biden that abducted and imprisoned citizens for merely exercising their right to protest on J6 — without due process for some; it was Biden and his Democrat cohorts (Big Tish James, Fat Fani Willis, Alvin Bragg-so-much, etc.) that tried to imprison Trump, a Republican; and it was Trump who was almost murdered, which enraged Democrats only because the would-be assassin missed.

The United States would be better off WITHOUT many of the former confederate (slave) states – South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, Virginia, Arkansas, Tennessee, and North Carolina, who left the United States to keep slavery intact. I would keep VA, TN, NC and GA.
To their credit some of the old confederate states have clawed themselves out of the confederate morass, but it’s been a century long struggle. Border states like MO, KY, WV still struggle.
As a nation we transfer tax monies from the more successful states, e.g., CA, NY, TX, FL, MA, NJ etc to poorer states, e.g., LA, WV, OK, MS, AR, NM etc.
As a society we transfer tax money from the more successful producers both individuals and business to the less successful producers all the way down to those who produce nothing at all and all the way to those who are net receivers. And democommies who created this “progressive” form of taxation are still crying about the disproportionate income it generates.
