Ol’ Stink Eye herself… my o’my…

On April 14, William J. Pulte, director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, sent a referral letter to the Justice Department detailing alleged false statements made in filings by James to secure housing loans.

For an attorney general who just prosecuted Trump for everything short of ripping a label off a mattress, the details in the referrals are particularly damning.

Indeed, the greatest danger is that the Letitia James standard could be applied to Letitia James in guaranteeing that “no one is above the law.”

    Good work, Forty-seven.

Jonathan Braun was arrested on allegations of shoving a 3-year-old, “causing a red mark on his back and substantial pain.” This is only his latest brush with the law over the past four years. He was banned by federal and New York State judges from working in debt collection; fined $20 million; and accused of punching his wife and father-in-law, groping a nanny, and attacking a nurse with an IV-bag holder.

In 2021, President Donald Trump commuted Braun’s 10-year prison sentence for smuggling marijuana.

Eli Weinstein, a convicted Ponzi schemer who received a last-minute 2021 commutation, was convicted on March 31 in a $41 million fraud case. Philip Esformes, whose sentence for his role in a $1.3 billion Medicare fraud was commuted in 2020, was arrested last year on domestic-violence-related charges. The rapper

    Kodak Black

has also been repeatedly arrested since receiving a commutation.

Enrique Tarrio, who was sentenced to 22 years for seditious conspiracy and other crimes, was arrested for assault just a month after being pardoned — at the Capitol, no less. Matthew Huttle, an Indiana man who received a pardon for entering the Capitol on January 6, was fatally shot by a deputy on January 27 after reaching for a gun. Emily Hernandez, a Missouri woman, was convicted for causing a fatal drunk-driving crash in 2022; the sentencing came days after her pardon for January 6 offenses. Andrew Taake of Texas was pardoned in January, then arrested in February on an outstanding charge for allegedly sending explicit messages to an undercover cop he believed was an underage girl.

Hernadez victim, Vickie Wilson, was unavailable for comment. Wilson, 32, leaves two sons and a husband, Ryan w/ilson, who was seriously injured.

David Daniel, who was charged with producing and possessing child pornography, also argued that a search that turned up the material was invalid because of his January 6 pardon. Edward Kelley argued that his pardon for January 6 also covered his plot to kill the FBI agents who investigated him. Dan Wilson, a pardoned Capitol rioter, argued the search finding a gun in his possession was invalid.

Victor Orban’s playbook for becoming right-wing dictator of Hungary. Sounds familiar.

One: Take over your party and enforce internal party discipline by using political threats and intimidation to stamp out all party dissent.

Two: Build your base by appealing to fear and hate, branding immigrants and cultural minorities as dangers to society, and demonizing your opponents as enemies of the people.

Three: Use disinformation and lies to justify what you’re doing.

Four: Use your election victory to claim a sweeping mandate — especially if you don’t win a majority.

Five: Centralize your power by destroying the civil service.

Six: Redefine the rule of law as rule by executive decree. Weaponize the state against all democratic opponents. Demonize anyone who doesn’t support the leader as an “enemy of the people.”

Seven: Eliminate checks and balances and separation of powers by taking over the legislature, the courts, the media, and civil society. Target opponents with regulatory penalties like tax audits, educational penalties such as denials of accreditation, political penalties like harassment investigations, physical penalties like withdrawing police protection, and criminal penalties like prosecution.

Eight: Rely on your oligarchs — hugely wealthy business and financial leaders — to supervise the economy and reward them with special access to state resources, tax cuts, and subsidies.

Nine: Ally yourself with other authoritarians like Vladimir Putin and support his effort to undermine European democracies and attack sovereign countries like Ukraine.

Ten: Get the public to believe that all this is necessary, and that resistance is futile.

Nicely done Elwood. Those 10 points sounded exactly like what the Democratic Party has been doing to the United states for the last 25 years. So you are aware the plan that your party has implemented on the American people you just trying to plant everybody else except yourself. Fantastic projection.

You won’t be sending any more of your commies El Salvador the support murderous illegal alien?
