You are right. There is no right answer because it was a question he never addressed. He addressed prices, not inflation. The Fed is about the only one that can muzzle inflation, and they do that by raising interest rates to slow spending. Instead, the Fed has been lowering rates to help the Democrats win the November election, keeping the pressure on prices to increase.
Massive hedge funds need to divest themselves of their private home mortgages to bring home prices back in line with reality. A glut of homes dumped on the market will drive down prices, drive down home ownership costs, and make groceries affordable again because you are not paying 3000 a month for a home; you are paying 1500.
