Of the things that Democrats are running on, Medicare For All, or some form of single payer, is huge in their talking points, especially for the 365 running for president. Many are yammering about getting rid of private insurance. How’s that working out?
Poll: Only 22 Percent of Democrats Prefer Medicare for All
Only 22 percent of Democrat voters want to eliminate private health insurance in favor of a Medicare for All system, according to a poll released Monday.
A Monmouth University poll released Monday found that many Democrat voters remain uneasy about eliminating America’s private health insurance system in favor of the single-payer Medicare for All system.
Twenty-two percent of Democrats said that they would want to eliminate private insurance for Medicare for All when asked what healthcare policy they prefer.
Fifty-three percent of Democrats prefer a system to either allow Americans to opt into Medicare or keep their private coverage, seven percent want to keep private insurance for those under age 65 but “regulate the costs,†and 11 percent want to keep the private insurance system under Obamacare as is.
Monmouth then polled Democrats who selected the option for either allowing Americans to opt into Medicare whether they would want to move to a private health insurance system.
Of those Democrats that they would prefer a system where Americans could opt into Medicare, 18 percent said they would want to move to Medicare for All-style system eventually, 33 percent said there should always be a private health insurance option, two percent said that they did not know, and 21 percent said that there should be no minor changes after they allow for a Medicare opt-in option.
So, it’s not all bad, but, again, most of the big wigs in the Democrat primary standings have said at some point that they want to do away with private insurance.
A recent poll found that 64 percent of battleground state voters prefer lowering healthcare costs over universal healthcare access.
So, essentially, Medicare for All is not a position that will help them in the general election. Keep running on this, Democrats!
Coincidentally, that looks like the same number of people who are unwilling to pay for their own medical costs or want more than they can afford. As the saying goes, if you think medical care is expensive now, just wait till it’s free.
Every other advanced nation on Earth delivers health care to all their citizens for about half per person of what we Americans do.

Actually, they don’t. Our taxes are much lower and those premiums, co-pays, and deductibles are just a few bucks compared with 50% in income tax, 25% in sales tax, and $2.50/gal in gas taxes.
Need I remind you we have the second-lowest gas tax in the world?

In America, we, as a nation, spend far more than everyone else for the same reason we spend more on everything else… we demand more. Europeans don’t have SUVs, big TV sets, 4,000 sq ft homes, 2-5 acre lots, multiple cars in each home, and garages to park them in. Americans spend more on everything because we buy more of everything. In America, Ruth Bader Ginsburg survives cancer three times and at 80+ years old still expects to get full treatment a fourth time. Not in Europe. In Europe, the state decides that 80 years old people should die from cancer and call it “natural causes”.

One half of the nation pays ZERO income taxes and only about 6-8 percent sales tax.
Those people in these foreign nations pay VAT TAXES which amount to 17-27 percent and is not negotiable.
Only persons who don’t reside in the respective country are eligible for VAT refund. For EU countries, only persons who reside outside of EU are eligible for VAT refund. EU residents can purchase goods with Global Blue Tax-Free Shopping in non – EU countries, e.g. Norway and Switzerland.
Lets just take the Netherlands for an example:

So lets add all of this up. 28 percent plus 25 percent plust 9 percent equals. 72 percent tax in order to have health care. NOW
Throw on top of that: The Netherlands has a universal healthcare system. It’s managed by the government and supplemented by private insurers. Anyone living or working in the Netherlands must obtain basic level health insurance (with or without additional coverage) from a Dutch provider.
So my dear friend you have nothing left of your paycheck but you get good healthcare. Great. Awesome. No thanks. The USA has the best system in the world. Again, you don’t understand the issue. The TOTAL amount (taxes, premiums, co-pays, deductibles, out of pocket) that citizens in those countries pay for health care averages 50% of what we Americans pay.
You’re lumping all other taxes as if they all go toward healthcare.

Regardless of what the cost of healthcare is to the government the citizens still pay 72-80 percent in taxes.
That leaves 22-28 cents left over to LIVE.
In the United States, we pay more for healthcare so we can provide MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS OF HIGH PAYING, benefit-rich jobs.
