tRump’s silly take on the 14th Amendment is just another political ploy. Even a real US President can’t decide who is or isn’t a citizen.
Amendment XIV
Section 1.
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside.
The Constitution guarantees that all person born in the US are citizens. What part of that doesn’t tRump understand? What he understands is that his far right base hates immigrants.
Why not just decree that naturalized citizens are no longer citizens?
Shouldn’t GOPhers try to pass an amendment saying that only those born to citizens are automatically citizens? Is that just too hard? It takes too long and tRump only has a week to satisfy his white base.
