Good News: ‘Climate Change’ Will Cause Mosquitoes To Rule The Earth

I look forward to serving out new overlords

Mosquitoes Will Rule the Earth as Climate Change Expands Disease Vectors

Although many U.S. politicians insist on denying climate change, most scientists worldwide are believers. And the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) even has a pagedescribing concerns over climate change and the likelihood it will increase the risk of vector-borne diseases. Those include Lyme disease (increasing), West Nile virus (increasing), Zika virus (increasing), and malaria (increasing).

And, in fact, given the flooding and destruction caused in the Carolinas by Hurricane Florence, the CDC notes that mosquitoes and as a result, mosquito-borne illnesses, often increase after a hurricane. Although mosquitoes don’t typically survive the high winds of a hurricane, “Immediately following a hurricane, flooding occurs. Mosquito eggs laid in the soil by floodwater mosquitoes during previous floods hatch. This results in very large populations of floodwater mosquitoes.”

Generally, these are “nuisance mosquitoes” that don’t spread illness-causing viruses. The disease-carrying types, however, usually increase two weeks to two months after a hurricane

But this never happened before fossil fueled vehicles, you guys.

Yee summarized a 2015 study published in 2015 in Global Change Biology, writing, “They showed that the continuing trends of rising temperatures and changing precipitation patterns will foster further spread of WNB such as leading to WNV being established as far north as southern Canada and even northern British Columbia by 2080.”

Bottom line? Politicians might deny climate change, but disease-carrying insects and their pathogens aren’t—they’re exploiting it. There might be a joke there about the difference between politicians and disease-carrying parasites, but let’s not go there.

The forgot to prove the anthropogenic part. But, then, they never prove it.

  1. Mike-SMO says:

It looks like the CDC got the Lois Lerner fear. CDC has been quiet while potentially diseased individuals were allowed entry into the U.S.

Skeeters are annoying but the disease vectors in the U.S. are Illegal Aliens and Refugees who have not been medically screened to prevent infected “carriers” from transporting diseases into the U.S.

Refugees are supposed to be screened by NGOs, but most NGOs will not risk their staff in zones where they may be murdered or taken hostage so the “screening” is conducted by “locals” who are unlikely to have any concern for North American or European populations. I read that “Refugees” are “required” to have a medical screening within the first year in the U.S. giving local insects a year (or one season) to transfer diseases from infected carriers to Host victims.

The Illegals Aliens are never screened at all.

In addition, many illegals and refugees end up working at low paying jobs on farms, in dairies, in slaughter houses, in food transportation, etc. What is in your salad?

It looks like the CDC has realized that their silence about the hazards of un-controlled immigration, will make them a target if any “foreign” disease breaks out in the U.S. The current ploy seems to involve hiding in a smoke-screen about climate. The ‘skeeters are just a link between the finest horrors of Asia, Africa and the South and Central American jungles brought to you by the silence of political whores at the CDC.

I hear that one of the “Cs” in CDC refers to “conspiracy”, or maybe “criminal”.

That suggests that the employees and “professionals” at CDC are the actual disease vector.

  2. Jethro says:

Why do you think the Earth is warming?

  3. Jethro says:

The(y) forgot to prove the anthropogenic part.

You know that scientific theories aren’t proven. What further evidence would you find convincing that human generated greenhouse gases are causing the current period of rapid warming?

  4. Jethro says:

I guess mosquitoes don’t read Tony Wuwt.

    Now this…

In a draft environmental impact statement, the Trump administration has projected that global temperatures will rise 7 degrees Fahrenheit (about 4 degrees Celsius) above pre-industrial levels by the end of the century if nations fail to drastically reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, The Washington Post reported. The administration then used this projection to justify the President’s decision to freeze federal fuel efficiency standards.

As predicted, Phase 3 of climate change denial:

    1. The Earth is not warming, the scientists are faking the data.
    2. Of course it’s warming, it’s just not from human activities, it’s natural.
    3. Of course CO2 is causing the Earth to warm, but it’s too late/ too onerous to do anything about it.

Game, set, Earth to the deniers! Your great-grandchildren will be so proud!

  5. Jl says:

Hey J, if you have problems with the paper, go ahead and refute it. As far as Arctic sea ice, I talked to the ice and they said this is nothing new, as shown many times before.

    • Jethro says:

It’s not a “paper” it’s a piece of hack propaganda. In what scientific journal was it published?

My point stands: The ‘paper’ (and you) argue that the Earth is really not warming, and that the apparent warming is faked by unscrupulous scientists. Yet, Arctic sea ice is melting now. What is your point?

  6. Jl says:

“It’s not a paper..” Why yes it is. “It’s a hack piece of propaganda”. Care to prove that? Good luck. “Yes, Arctic sea ice is melting now.” Who said it wasn’t? It was also melting earlier in the century, as shown, with CO2 much lower

  7. Jethro says:

Sure. In what peer-reviewed scientific journal was it published?

It’s unclear if Joe D’Aleo has a doctorate, although he often claims one. He’s a weatherman, funded by the Heartland Institute (denier central).

He signed the Cornwall Alliance declaration which embarrassingly states:

We believe Earth and its ecosystems — created by God’s intelligent design and infinite power and sustained by His faithful providence — are robust, resilient, self-regulating, and self-correcting, admirably suited for human flourishing, and displaying His glory. Earth’s climate system is no exception.

And you guys smear actual climate scientists as cultists…

Wallace at least has a doctorate… in economics.

Idso has a doctorate in geography and has a long history of being paid by the fossil-fuels industry.

Garbage in, garbage out. They spend most of their time graphing Chicago, Detroit, Central Park, the Midwest US temperature trends, and conclude the global trends are not the same as the US trends!!! And they use old satellite data (since fixed).

None of the 3 are climate scientists, all three have a long history as denialist, at least two funded in part by fossil fuel companies.
