Trump And Kim Meet, Sign Statement On Denuclearizing North Korea

We must still remember that Kim Jong Un is a brutal, torturous, murderous, repressive dictator in a country that has been running the same for over 70 years. There’s no freedom, everyone Must Comply, and so forth. So, there’s a long way to go. Remember, China wasn’t exactly a paragon of virtue and freedom when Nixon went to China, and still aren’t the greatest. You have to start somewhere, and getting rid of North Korea’s nukes is a big first step

(CBS) President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un signed a document that Mr. Trump described as “important” and “comprehensive,” to conclude their meetings in Singapore. The document, which offers few details about how the aims will be accomplished, says North Korea commits to working towards denuclearization.

Mr. Trump said he “absolutely” will invite Kim to the White House. Mr. Trump said he thinks the summit went “better than anybody could have expected.”

As they began the summit, Mr. Trump said he thinks he and Kim will have a “terrific relationship,” and Kim, through a translator, said North Korea had to overcome a number of “obstacles” to get to this moment.

Mr. Trump and Kim participated in a one-on-one meeting, with translators only, followed by an expanded meeting including their top advisers, and a working lunch.

You can read the full text of the document here. The most important part of it reads

  1. The United States and the DPRK commit to establish new US-DPRK relations in accordance with the desire of the peoples of the two countries for peace and prosperity.
  2. The United States and DPRK will join their efforts to build a lasting and stable peace regime on the Korean Peninsula.
  3. Reaffirming the April 27, 2018 Panmunjom Declaration, the DPRK commits to work toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula
  4. The United States and the DPRK commit to recovering POW/MIA remains, including the immediate repatriation of those already identified.

What will happen going forth? Good question. Trump has stated that the war games on the Korean peninsula will end, but sanctions will remain. Will Kim stay honest? We’ve seen the BS that North Korean leaders have provided through the years. Time will tell.

Of course, you do have your typical unhinged liberals having conniption fits, such as this HuffPost headline and loopy story:

Murderous Dictator Meets Dishonest President Behind Closed Doors
How will the American public know what they actually said? They may not.

“‘We’re America, Bitch.’ That’s the Trump Doctrine.”
“Obama apologized to everyone for everything. He felt bad about everything.” President Trump, … “doesn’t feel like he has to apologize for anything America does.”

    Fvck Yeah!

And it does make the Demos look like the con artists (see what I did there?) they are.

  3. Jeffery says:

Two fat, lying, sociopaths with horrendous hairdos sign a vague agreement to do something someday.
Jong Un gets international recognition and prestige from the US, an agreement to ignore their horrid human rights violations (100,000 in the NK “gulag”), and an end to joint South Korea/US military exercises to assure readiness against the vile nation to the north. tRump dismissively called them “war games” much to the consternation of S Korea and our Pentagon. He lied saying it would save money.

We’ll see if the tRump administration has the knowledge and perseverance to pursue an actual agreement with verifications, or if the TV star tRump sees this as a wrap.

Kim Jong Un won this round big time. China and Russia won the G7 without even attending.

      Jeffrey Jeffery shows his ignorance:

Jong Un gets international recognition and prestige from the US

Of course, ‘Jong Un’ isn’t his last name; his family name is Kim. An unedumacated fool like Jeffrey Jeffery wouldn’t know that.

International recognition? The United Nations Security Council recommended North (and South) Korea for UN membership in Resolution 702, back on August 8, 1991. The US could have vetoed it; we did not.

The left have been reduced this:

The decision to display North Korea’s flag alongside the American flag at the historic U.S.-North Korea summit in Singapore gave power to North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, according to a former Obama administration official.

“I must say I was a little taken aback by the North Korean flags and the American flags side by side,” Wendy Sherman, a top State Department official under former President Barack Obama who was the lead negotiator for the Iran nuclear deal, said on MSNBC Tuesday.

You know, I don’t particularly like the sight either, but it was a diplomatic meeting, and those are the things which have to be done. As “a top State Department official,” she has to understand protocol. Did she, I wonder, combitch about President Obama standing before both the Cuban and United States’ flags?

The sanctions are still in place, and we won’t be seeing President sending plane loads of cash to Pyongyang. There’s a lot more to be done, but President Trump and his Administration did decently well. And that’s what the Trump Derangement Syndrome left cannot stand.

Plus, Korea is ringed by 3 carrier groups, South Korea has a large portion of our armor in place and this was just recent, and all light troops are staging for a sudden take over. So, better sign the paper bitch.

        • Jeffery says:

And tRump wants to remove our military from South Korea. Vladimir, JinPing and Jong Un support that.

Is Putin our new Secretary of State?

          • david7134d says:

Did you hear during the election process that Trump desire for the Koreans and Maps to take care of their piece of the world. This is a very clever move to give up something that you already desired to do.

A good bit of your hate and misunderstanding could be rectified by reading and at least getting down the basics of knowledge.

          • Jeffery says:

Dotard tRump wants to withdraw the US from the rest of the world (except for his own investments overseas). Maybe Dotard wants to build a resort on a NK beach.

      • drowningpuppies says:

        Jeffrey Jeffery shows his ignorance:

The embarrassment of being so consistently wrong over an extended time would mortify a normal human being but…

        • Jeffery says:

Who knows, maybe by the time tRump is kicked out they’ll have another made-for-TV meeting and another pledge to begin to think about a program to consider giving up nuclear bombs and ICBMs with no framework for verifications.

What else can tRump give to his master, Putin? He’s dissed NATO, alienated all our allies, called for the G7 to reward Putin for stealing Crimea, and gave a full body massage to the worst dictator extant in the world.

          • drowningpuppies says:

As written before, ” a normal human being…”

How does it feel to be so wrong for so long, nignorant?

  4. Jeffery says:

“Our peaceful trading partners are not our enemies. They are our allies. We should beware of the demagogues who are ready to declare a trade war against our friends, weakening our economy, our national security, and the entire free world, all while cynically waving the American flag.”

    — Barack Hussein Obama

    • drowningpuppies says:

“Obama apologized to everyone for everything. He felt bad about everything.” President Trump, … “doesn’t feel like he has to apologize for anything America does.”

      We’re America, bitch.

    • drowningpuppies says:

…Trump is rebuilding American power after an eight-year period of willful dissipation. “People criticize [Trump] for being opposed to everything Obama did, but we’re justified in canceling out his policies,” one friend of Trump’s told me. This friend described the Trump Doctrine in the simplest way possible. “There’s the Obama Doctrine, and the ‘F#ck Obama’ Doctrine,” he said. “We’re the ‘F#ck Obama’ Doctrine.”

      America, F#ck Yeah!

    • Jeffery says:

My apologies. It was President Ronald Reagan who said,

“Our peaceful trading partners are not our enemies. They are our allies. We should beware of the demagogues who are ready to declare a trade war against our friends, weakening our economy, our national security, and the entire free world, all while cynically waving the American flag.”

not President Obama. We regret the error and hope is doesn’t change your opinion of Mr. Reagan.

  5. Jeffery says:

Dotard Donnie was “played” by Little Rocketman, who is the worst, most vile tyrant on Earth, having his own people starved, tortured, sent to NK’s forced-labor gulag or murdered. He has had family members executed for not being deferential enough. No wonder Dotard loves him so much.

Rocketman sweet-talked Dotard into giving up the joint exercises (“provocative” “war games” according to Dotard) – How dare this traitor go overseas and dismiss our military – Dotard placed this ruthless, murderous regime equivalent to the US, implying that NK is just another struggling nation. Dotard was “played” by Kim Jong-un, describing how “impressive” he was, and how it was an “honor” for the US “President” to stand side by side with him.

What did Dotard get in return? Distraction from his scandals, attention and a little sumthin’, sumthin’ for his right-wing authoritarian base, who love them some brutal dictators. They wish they had one themselves to control democracy, libs, Dems, gays, Blacks, Muslims, Mexicans, the press, etc. They think Dotard just might be their man.

  6. Jl says:

“….to declare a trade war against our friends.” Actually, he advocated dropping all tariffs. How would that be a trade war? It wouldn’t. “Our peaceful trading partners are not our enemies.” Too bad out ex-Muslim didn’t earlier say to Iran “one of the world’s biggest sponsors of terrorism shouldn’t be our friend.” But instead he sent them billions in cash. Diplomacy101,failed.

  7. Jeffery says:

The North Korea propaganda machine is crowing about how Kim Jong-un outmaneuvered Dotard, getting him to drop the joint military training between the US and S Korea. North Korea gave up nothing.

The Great Negotiator got hoodwinked. WE needed an experienced diplomat, we sent the Dotard.

    The Kremlin celebrates.
