ACLU Sues Trump Over Rule Restricting Gender Confused From Serving

This just happened

Over at the ACLU

The new directive bars enlistment by transgender individuals, prohibits coverage for certain critical medical procedures, and bans those currently in the military from serving, with the Secretary of Defense given discretion to determine how to carry out that ban.

Today, we and the ACLU of Maryland filed a lawsuit to challenge President Trump’s cruel policy on behalf of Petty Officer First Class Brock Stone, Staff Sergeant Kate Cole, Senior Airmen John Doe, Technical Sergeant Tommie Parker, Airman First Class Seven Ero George, and Petty Officer First Class Teagan Gilbert.

Our lawsuit argues that the ban violates the constitutional guarantees of equal protection and substantive due process by singling out transgender individuals for unequal and discriminatory treatment.

So, what of the discrimination? Is I noted a few days ago

You can’t join the military if you have a long list of mental disorders, such an eating disorders, sleep walking, antisocial attitudes, ADD, OCD, and so much more, including

Mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, psychoses, and other unspecified depressive issues are disqualifying.

Any history of suicidal behavior, that includes discussions, gestures, or the actual attempt is disqualifying. A history of self-mutilation is also disqualifying.

And, technically, being a transvestite is still considered a mental disorder by the US military, regardless of Obama’s order.

Many groups, including the American Psychiatric Association and the World Health Organization (they were contemplating changing their view, can’t find where they did) classify Gender Dysphoria as a mental illness. Why should people who are more prone to being suicidal and having major depression (both mental illnesses) be allowed to serve when others who are suicidal, have major depression, bipolar disorder, sleepwalking, ADD, etc, be excluded? Because they are excluded. Will the ACLU sue for them?

The military is not an experiment for social justice bullshit. If the gender confused want sexual reassignment surgery, they can pay for it themselves and do it on their own time, not on the military’s dime and time.

The military discriminates based on physical fitness, vision, hearing, obesity, intelligence, and age as well. It’s simple: the mission of the military is to defend the United States, and act upon the orders of the Commander-in-Chief, and service members must meet certain physical, and mental, standards to be able to perform their duties.

‘Transgenderism’ is directly related to this: someone taking the wrong sex’s hormones and getting mutilating surgery is going to be non-deployable and unfit for duty for extended periods of time.

Do you have any evidence to support that transgendered military personnel cause “more problems” than the non-transgendered? How does the military currently exclude “others who are suicidal, have major depression, bipolar disorder, sleepwalking, ADD, etc,”? Don’t they apply the same exclusion criteria for mental illness to the transgendered?? If not, why not?

Men commit suicide at a much greater rate than do women. Should we exclude men from service?

Women present with SMI (Serious Mental Illness) at a greater rate than do men. Should we exclude women?

Whites present with SMI at a greater rate than do Blacks, Hispanics and Asians. Should we exclude whites?

Sexual assault is rampant in the military, almost exclusively committed by white men against both women and men. Should we exclude white men from service?

We get it. Con Men don’t “like” the transgendered (or any LBGT person) and this is a way to punish those you don’t “like”. The scheisse-for-brains, fake commander-in-chief only works to solidify his cult-like hold on his brownshirt followers.

He’ll lose this one in the courts, too.

  3. Jl says:

No, he will not. Women were restricted from combat roles till a few yrs ago, and gays till 2011. Neither were overturned by court decisions but rather by policy decisions

  4. Jeffery says:

How have the transgendered fared in the military so far?

Any evidence backing up your beliefs that they harm the military? Even any anecdotes?

Or just your feelings that they’re “icky”? (and “backfilling” to make excuses for your, and tRump’s, bigotry).

Actually, the fetid tRump gets a pass: He did it to reward his bigoted base. (Unless you have solid evidence that the transgendered are causing real problems in the military).

What would little jeffvckery know about the military other than lying about joining the Army (“1971, ya know during the Vietnam war”)?

How have the transgendered fared in the military so far?

PFC Bradley Manning: the one we know about, individually, ought to answer your question.

PFC Manning’s infamous offense wasn’t his only one:

Manning was reprimanded while at Fort Huachuca for posting three video messages to friends on YouTube, in which she (sic) described the inside of the “Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility” (SCIF) where she (sic) worked.

On December 20, 2009, during a counseling session with two colleagues to discuss her (sic) poor time-keeping, Manning was told she (sic) would lose her one day off a week for persistent lateness. She (sic) responded by overturning a table, damaging a computer that was sitting on it. A sergeant moved Manning away from the weapons rack, and other soldiers pinned her (sic) arms behind her (sic) back and dragged her (sic) out of the room. Several witnesses to the incident believed her (sic) access to sensitive material ought to have been withdrawn at that point.[84] The following month, January 2010, she (sic) began posting on Facebook that she felt hopeless and alone.

On May 7, according to Army witnesses, Manning was found curled in a fetal position in a storage cupboard; she (sic) had a knife at her (sic) feet and had cut the words “I want” into a vinyl chair. A few hours later she (sic) had an altercation with a female intelligence analyst, Specialist Jihrleah Showman, during which she (sic) punched Showman in the face. The brigade psychiatrist recommended a discharge, referring to an “occupational problem and adjustment disorder”. Manning’s supervisor removed the bolt from her (sic) weapon, making it unable to fire, and she (sic) was sent to work in the supply office, although at this point her (sic) security clearance remained in place. As punishment for the altercation with Showman, she (sic) was demoted from Specialist (E-4) to Private First Class (E-3) three days before her (sic) arrest on May 27.

It’s clear that the Army was negligent, in extending PFC Manning a security clearance, and then allowing him to work in the secure uni after he had demonstrated his poor fitness for the job, his opposition to the war in Iraq and his general idiocy. But the Army’s negligence does not somehow excuse PFC Manning’s actions. He was mentally ill!

  5. Jeffery says:

    Nada (sic),

We knew we could count on a man (sic) such as you (sic) to find an anecdote!! Good boy (sic)! You (sic) deserve a cookie.

It’s estimated there are 15,000 transgendered in the military. Now do you (sic) have any actual evidence?

Was whistleblower Manning the only military member to share classified information? (David Petraeus).

Is it your contention that Petraeus is transgender?

    • Dana says:

I provided the evidence: just one mentally ill person released thousands of classified documents, compromised intelligence sources, and possibly caused the death of some people.

The ‘transgendered’ are mentally ill, period; they should not be allowed to serve in the military.

The ACLU is no longer a protector of the Constitution. They are a liberal-agenda promoter. If not, they would protect me from illegals breaking our countries laws.

    • Jeffery says:

      Nonsense.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization[6][7] whose stated mission is “to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States.”

The ACLU fought for the right of the vile neo-Nazis, KKK and white supremacists to assemble in Charlottesville.

  9. Jeffery says:

Secretary of Defense James Mattis disagrees with king tRump and the other Courage-Confused who want to quickly purge the military of transgendered warriors.
