Hillary Clinton Says We Totally Need To Reinvent Capitalism

Interestingly, not to solve “climate change”. She just wants to blow up capitalism overall. Now that she got her big pay day

(The Blaze) Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said capitalism must be “reinvented” during an economic address where she condemned the pursuit of short-term profits at the expense of long-term prosperity.

Delivering remarks at New York University, Clinton decried “quarterly capitalism.”

“I’m looking for new, creative, innovative, disruptive ideas that will save capitalism for the 21st century because it is the greatest engine of economic opportunity and potential that has ever been invented,” Clinton said. “It is one of the great accomplishments of the American political and economic history. It created the opportunity that so many generations of Americans took advantage of and that led to the creation of the middle class, the extraordinary economic accomplishment of our country.”

So, the lady who’s earned who knows how many millions running her shady foundation, and has lived the high life, wants to reign in Other People. She and her family charge exorbitant fees for making short speeches.

  1. The Clinton’s et al. are owned & controlled by the Global Elite. The new paradigm (since 1970) is known as Technocracy. A ‘New International Economic Order’ Check it out – http://www.augustforecast.com/endgame_of_technocracy

She is for any idea that will bring more power to the Clinton Clan. Everyday Americans and Everyday Laws are stepping stones to grind her heels upon during her climb to absolute power.

Yes, that sounds like someone who hates capitalism.

And in the last several decades the capitalists/ political donors have become too powerful at the expense of American workers. Income and wealth inequality is growing.

She talks about businesses and individuals sacrificing long term prosperity for short term profits.

That lady needs to look inward as do most politicians that are sacrificing the prosperity of this nation and the freedom of its people in their desire for personal gain and power.

“Income and wealth inequality are growing.” Typical liberal proclamation that starts with a false premise-that wealth and income should be “more equal.”

    j,

It has nothing to do with what “should” be or with ideology – it’s much more pragmatic than that. The current situation is no more sustainable than the Gilded Age or the Roaring 20s. Why do you support the current system “rigged” to reward the wealthy at the expense of the working classes?

    Communist manifesto propaganda.

Everyone should receive less so that those in charge can have more…..

I have travelled Communist countries extensively and the poor are really poor, the middle class are really poor and the leaders…those in charge are the equivalent of our middle class…they are quite comfortable….

But the big shots…..they live a life of luxury all the while proclaiming that equality is about EVERYONE sharing the burden.

Its a crock…I fear communism far and away more then ISIS or radical Muslims….because communism is an appealing alternative to capitalism for the lazy, the poor and the middle class who are led to believe they will have a 100k a year job, full benefits, 3 months vacation and the American dream.

    They wont….they never will….its a lie. Period.

  9. Jeffery says:

    Liam,

Not sure what nation (you said Costa Rica at one time) you’re from, but in America the system has become increasingly rigged to benefit the wealthy, leading to the fruits of increased productivity accruing to the wealthy. This was not a “natural” or inevitable result, but a consequence of specific policies in the areas of elections, taxation, patent, immigration, trade and labor – as well as fiscal and monetary decisions by Congress and the Federal Reserve.

Our trade and immigration policies placed working class Americans in direct competition with low-paid workers around the world, driving down employment and wages. The Fed keeps employment low (and wages low). As we cut the taxes on the wealthy and shift the tax burdens to the increasingly stressed working classes, we neglect our infrastructure, our environment and our social programs. We have systematically worked to dismantle labor unions and their power. Congress and the Supreme Court have literally legalized bribery of the legislatures by the political donor class. It’s time to declare war on the war on the middle class. Always the political opportunist, Clinton has been forced to acknowledge this because of Warren, Sanders and especially the mood of the electorate.

Only plutocrats and their beneficiaries could believe that a plutocracy and the entrenched crony capitalism is superior to a fair and just capitalistic economic system.

The goal is that everyone shares a bit more in the successes of our capitalistic system – and as Clinton pointed out – guaranteeing a middle class similar to the one that built this great nation post WWII.

Do you seriously believe that America was a communist nation between WWII and 1980 when the government confiscated taxes from the wealthy and built colleges, universities, highways, bridges and a social safety net, all the while paying down the debt from the war?

The current plutocrats are essentially stateless parasites, terrified of losing their afraid their taxes will be increased, and crying “COMMUNIST”!

If it’s true that American capitalism is too focused on the short term, it is not at all clear what Hillary is going to do about it. She’s running for president, so I’d guess she’s calling for some new government program or new regulations, i.e. have the government make more decisions. Does anyone in his right mind think that our government thinks MORE long term than our businesses? The same people who have been postponing dealing with the deficit until after the next election for several decades, who have been postponing dealing with the social security imbalance until have the next election for several decades, who have been postponing dealing with the growing welfare burden until after the next election for several decades, etc etc, now presume to lecture business owners on short-term thinking? This is almost as funny as when Congress held hearings a few years back on whether charities spend too much on administration and fund-raising.
