Dr. Roy Spenser: Time to push back against the global warming Nazis

What were Nazi’s? Fascists. What are Progressives? Jonah Goldberg refers to them as “Nice Fascists”. Prick a Warmist and you’ll find a Progressive. And Dr. Roy Spencer has had enough

Yeah, somebody pushed my button.

When politicians and scientists started calling people like me “deniers”, they crossed the line. They are still doing it.

They indirectly equate (1) the skeptics’ view that global warming is not necessarily all manmade nor a serious problem, with (2) the denial that the Nazi’s extermination of millions of Jews ever happened.

Too many of us for too long have ignored the repulsive, extremist nature of the comparison. It’s time to push back.

I’m now going to start calling these people “global warming Nazis”.

The pseudo-scientific ramblings by their leaders have falsely warned of mass starvation, ecological collapse, agricultural collapse, overpopulation…all so that the masses would support their radical policies. Policies that would not voluntarily be supported by a majority of freedom-loving people.

Dr. S goes on to compare what the Nazi’s political policies were to the policies of Warmists, and there are lots of similarities. At the end he notes

NOTE: A couple people in comments have questioned my use of “Nazi”, which might be considered over the top. Considering the fact that these people are supporting policies that will kill far more people than the Nazis ever did — all in the name of what they consider to be a righteous cause — I think it is very appropriate. Again, I didn’t start the name-calling.

Let’s not forget, Warmists have called for “deniers” to be jailed (and here. Here. Lots more where they came from) and executed (also the first jail link. And here. And more). These are intollerant, anti-science fascists, against freedom of thought and belief that doesn’t jibe with their own beliefs. Yet, interestingly, they themselves will not live the life of their beliefs.

Teach…….. Do you hate the US Navy because you now think they are Nazis or progressives?

    john,

Do you hate people who think differently than you do? (That’s a rhetorical question because we all know the answer.)

Do you fall instep with the Navy on every issue?

Do you still believe in the “big gun” theory as espoused by the Navy?

Do you believe that a military organization should be commenting on civilian matters?

Do you think that everyone in the Navy thinks as a few commanders do?

Are you really as moronic as you appear in posts? (That too is rhetorical.)

  3. If that’s what a few navy brass want, then yes.

I notice you were unable to refute anything in the post.

  4. Jeffery says:

Years ago Dr. Spencer (with Dr. J. Christy) made remarkable scientific strides by instituting the University of Alabama-Huntsville satellite temperature monitoring system (the UAH temperature series). Early on there were problems with the system but Christy and Spencer corrected their errors and now the system is consistent with the other datasets. Since, Dr. Spencer’s database always underestimated the surface temperature, there were those who suggested that his errors were intentional and not accidental. We should take Dr. Spencer’s word that he did not intentionally manipulate the data.

Here’s an example of some of Dr. Spencer’s later “science”:

“We believe Earth and its ecosystems—created by God’s intelligent design and infinite power and sustained by His faithful providence —are robust, resilient, self-regulating, and self-correcting, admirably suited for human flourishing, and displaying His glory.” – Dr. Spencer is one of the most famous signatories of the Evangelical Declaration on Global Warming

He’s honestly and bravely but unscientifically arguing that his God regulates the climate, not natural forces. If only some of the other skeptics would be so honest. But his hypothesis that God controls the climate is untestable.

Some people have life-altering experiences that change the way the perceive the world around them. Many borderline liberals became conservative after being terrified by 9/11, and after all conservatives are often described as a liberal who’s been mugged. I don’t know what happened that caused Dr. Spencer to stop thinking as a scientist, perhaps just the religious conversion, perhaps another major life event.

He suspect he believes calling his opponents Nazis helps his cause.

    Read it again, Jeffery.

    He makes no such claim.

Your deliberate misrepresentation of his statement is a lie which I suppose is the only way you can refute what he says.

And of course, you don’t refute his statements in the post so you decided to make and ad hominem attack that was a lie.

    You must be so proud.

  6. Jeffery says:

    g2,

Perhaps you interpret his statement to mean that God controls the climate by controlling the natural forces?!?

  7. gitarcarver says:

    Perhaps you interpret his statement…..

Perhaps you should learn to read more and lie less.

If you are so desperate to totally change what the guy said, that says a great deal about what a person you are.
