I am sorry, but if you are a man in this 60′s, then these thongs appear much like what women wear at that time of month. Not a very pleasing thought.
As I was born in 68 and didn’t wake up until the late 70′s, I don’t know what 60′s thongs have to do with a woman’s time of the month.
Seems to my younger mind, that if a woman was having her period, she wouldn’t want to wear a thong.

Women did not have a tampon. They used large cotex. This was held in place with a device that looks just like a thong.
