“The U.S. military struck an alleged drug-trafficking boat in the (Gulf of Mexico) — at the center of a controversy involving Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth — four times during a Sept. 2 attack, according to a U.S. official who spoke to The Hill Wednesday morning on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive operations.
The full attack killed 11 people on board the ship as part of an operation by the Trump administration against what it says are “narco-terrorists.”
The U.S. armed forces hit the purported drug-smuggling vessel four times on Sept. 2, twice to kill the 11 people who were on board and twice more to sink the vessel, the U.S. official who spoke to The Hill said.”

Laughing out loud! I checked the distinguished Mr Dowd’s source, and here’s what it actually said:
At first, I thought that our savant from St Louis was trying to erase a “Gulf of America” reference, but when I saw that the original referred to the Caribbean Sea, I was scratching my head; why make that editorial change? Anyone else who did this would have been dismissed.

Yet it’s clear that our angry agnostic does not want the laws to be followed, because he wants to throw every possible roadblock into enforcement of the laws. He wants to slow the process of enforcing our immigration laws, in what I assume to be the hope that a delightful Democrat will be inaugurated on January 20, 2029, who will cease enforcement of immigration laws, and that the largest possible number of illegals will have remained in the United States, because that’s what “humanitarian decency” requires.
When drug smugglers use high-speed boats to try to get past the Coast Guard, our good fellow who wants the “laws to be followed” wants to give the smugglers every chance to succeed, to get away with smuggling, rather than change their destination from the United States to Hell.

“(H)umanitarian decency,” huh? Every arrest is inhumane, taking someone into custody against his will, is aggressive and inhumane by its very nature. Enforcing the law by sending convicted felons to prison separates them from their families and their children.
We have had sixty years of liberalism, of being oh-so-kind to the poor, the down-trodden, and the criminals, and look what it has gotten us: a country in which laws are broken, and George Soros-sponsored, criminal-loving and police-hating prosecutors give out slaps on the wrist, a country in which President Trump has a reason to try to rein in crime, a country with millions of addicts and junkies, a country in which virtually every social program gets hit with fraud. And all up with which our socialist from St Louis can come is criticizing those who want to improve our nation.
