Trump flees Washington controversies for golf-heavy trip to Scotland
Fleeing Washington’s oppressive humidity and nonstop questions over heated controversies, President Donald Trump is once again taking weekend refuge at his golf clubs — this time more than 3,000 miles away in Scotland.
While the White House has called his five-day trip a “working visit,” it’s fairly light on the formal itinerary. Trump is poised to hold trade talks Sunday with the chief of the European Union and is scheduled to meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Monday.
But he’s expected to spend most of his trip out of public view at two of his golf resorts – Trump Turnberry in the west and Trump International about 200 miles away in the north, near his mother’s ancestral homeland.
Presidential trips like this rarely happen on the spur of the moment, especially when there are meetings planned with foreign leaders. Also, where was CNN when Biden was fleeing to one of his homes in Delaware, usually Rehoboth Beach, or Camp David, virtually every weekend of his presidency?
Nearly every time Trump has spoken with reporters in recent weeks, he’s been pressed with new questions about the Epstein scandal, many of which are fueled by deep suspicions that he and his followers have been stirring for years. New revelations about his personal ties to the disgraced financier have kept the matter alive. (snip)
Authorities in Scotland have spent weeks preparing for Trump’s arrival. Assistant Chief Constable Emma Bond told reporters the security operation would be the largest the country has mounted since the death of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022, including local officers, national security divisions and special constables.
Weeks. Meaning this trip was planned before that, hence, prior to the whole Epstein thing CNN is claiming is making Trump flee Washington. Notice that Trump was actually still taking questions, while Biden would just dodder off. Well, except when he was taking the questions his staff gave to reporters. And still messing them up.

Mr trump and his tribe have made a hash of the whole MAGA/QAnon plot to expose he pedophile/cannibals of the Deep State – Clintons, Obamas, Bidens, CIA, FBI, DNC, lib media, lib advisors, lib academics, globalists, neoCons, lib Generals, Admirals, Hollywood libs etc
It now looks as if the plot has backfired and Mr trump is hoist with his own petard. His personal attorney Blanche has spent two days with child trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell to work out a deal – she wants out of prison – trump wants out of the bullseye. They’ll no doubt work out a deal. She’ll claim Big Donnie had no involvement at all, Donnie will pardon her with secret conditions and enough cash to jet set.
Meanwhile, 1000 FBI agents are reviewing (i.e., scrubbing) tens of thousands of Epstein files so another of trump’s personal attorneys, AG Pam Bondi can release selected files to appease the Deep MAGA crowd and give them some red meat to chew on – Bill Clinton was on the flight log etc.
Further meanwhile, sniveling Tulsi Gabbard, whom trump claimed didn’t know what she was talking about re Iran nukes, crawled back in Big Donnie’s good graces by calling former President Barack Hussein Obama a traitor!! And she has receipts!
Even more meanwhile, the economy is cratering. The next 6 months will require lots of popcorn!!!

Our good friends on the left think that there must be something, anything! in the Epstein files that will somehow, some way bring down the magnificent man from Mar-a-Lago, yet must concomitantly believe that whatever files existed, which were under the jurisdiction of the Department of Justice, were never used to discredit or destroy Donald Trump before he was elected again.
They raided his home in Mar-a-Lago, they poured over his records, they looked at his taxes, the Feds did everything they could, but we are expected to believe that they never checked the Epstein files? Even the Queen who could believe six impossible things before breakfast wouldn’t fall for that!
I have previously expressed amazement that the purported Epstein files and client lists were never leaked to the public, because there was considerable interest in them. If there was anything there to destroy Mr Trump, even if Republican-hating Attorney General Merrick Garland had qualms, can anyone really believe that some lower-level DoJ flack wouldn’t somehow have gotten that information to The New York Times?
Yet now our socialist from St Louis appears to believe that “1000 FBI agents are reviewing (i.e., scrubbing) tens of thousands of Epstein files” to keep Mr Trump’s name out of it. And if the files are ever released, and Mr Trump does not feature prominently in them, our friends on the left will then claim that his name isn’t in there because the files were scrubbed.
