Hey, maybe if they spent their money on making Haiti a nice place (didn’t they say Haiti was a nice place?) Haitians could return home, right?
Fifty organizations launch nationwide ‘Days of Action’ to restore TPS for Haitian immigrants
A coalition of 50 organizations across the United States has launched a multi-day nationwide mobilization to demand the immediate restoration of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for more than 350,000 Haitians affected by the recent termination of the humanitarian U.S. visa program.
Running Thursday through Sunday, the “Days of Action to Restore Haiti TPS” features over 20 coordinated events spanning seven states, including California, Florida, New York, and Massachusetts. The effort brings together Haitian community organizations, immigrant-rights advocates, faith leaders, and allies. For a complete list of events, please click here.
Demonstrators and advocacy groups are calling on Congress and the executive branch to take immediate legislative and administrative action. Specifically, organizers are demanding that U.S. Senators co-sponsor S. 4814 — legislation that would extend Haitian TPS for three years. They also want the Department of Homeland Security to immediately halt arrests and deportations of former TPS holders and reinstate TPS for Haitians and other impacted populations facing unfair termination.
The Trump administration has been deporting hundreds of Haitian immigrants since winning a legal battle this summer to end TPS for about 350,000 Haitians, including 158,000 in Florida, most of whom live in South Florida.
Yeah, like that legislation will actually pass, and the Trump DHS will stop.
Organizers said that returning individuals to Haiti poses severe risks due to ongoing violence, widespread displacement, sexual violence, food insecurity, and limited healthcare access.
Indeed, gang violence already has displaced a record 1.5 million people across Haiti, where more than 3,100 people were reported killed from January to June and another 1,189 injured, according to U.N. statistics.
Cool, and we’ve allowed these people into the US. There’s a reason the Dominican Republic has a big wall on their border with Haiti. Hey, perhaps these people can ask where all that money the UN and Clinton Foundation raised for saving Haiti went.

Since the Haiti earthquake in 2016 the Clinton foundation have donated in excess of 500 million to Haiti. That is about 50 million per year or about $4 per person per year.
What did you expect to see for that Teach,?
The US allocated 591 million to Haiti for 2024, 138 million in 2025. Since the 2010 hurricane, the US has committed over 5.1 billion in total relief, recovery and long term reconstruction.
Once a sh*t hole, always a sh*t hole….
The problem isn’t Haiti as a place; the problem is Haitians as a people!
The Duvaliers and the Tonton Macoute didn’t just spring from the ground, but are the natural result of Haitian culture, of superstition and vodou. The same people on the other half of the island, the Dominican Republic, are reasonably civilized and doing decently.
But, not to worry: there are stories that some Haitians are fleeing to Canada, and the liberal Canucks will surely take them with open arms. Then we’ll see how well those good, white, civilized Canadians and their generous social welfare systems will turn the Haitians into good, noble, civilized Westerners, away from us evil Trumpelstiltskins.
The UN should take a more active role in fixing Haiti. The UN should move their HQ and staff there. That would spur massive investment in 5-star hotels and restaurants, as well as beach-front mansions and embassies. The current UN building could be used to house homeless Vets in NYC, complete with a VA clinic and rehab center.
Cue Cut-paste story about how UN property in NYC was donated to the UN.
