Oh, Noes, The US Likely Maybe Broke The March Heat Record

First, we haven’t gotten out of March. Second, you had the huge cold snap in March. Third, they were also blaming your for the February record cold and snow. Fourth, I though they said one area having weather is not ‘climate change’ and doesn’t matter in the grand scheme

The US broke the all-time heat record for March. Yes, it’s climate change

An unprecedented heat wave in the West broke the record for the hottest March temperature anywhere in the United States: 108 degrees. It’s an alarming signal of how hot the planet is getting and how fast it’s happening.

Yuma, Arizona, hit 109 degrees on Friday afternoon, which broke the national March record of 108 degrees set at Rio Grande City, Texas, in 1954 and 1902, according to a database of weather records from the National Weather Service and other networks.

The new record could be even hotter. The temperature near Martinez Lake, Arizona, hit 110 degrees on Thursday and 112 degrees on Friday, but it’s a temporary weather station that is not quality controlled, which calls into question its accuracy. The National Centers for Environment Information told CNN it does not validate or confirm monthly temperature records.

Wait, it was super hot in 1902?

An unusually strong and sprawling heat dome is the catalyst for the heat, but the magnitude is undoubtedly being worsened by planet-warming pollution. Heat waves are becoming more frequent, more severe and lasting longer as the world warms.

“Undoubtedly” = We’re guessing. Scaremongering.

Also

And if things are so bad then why

California OKs a lot of new freeway lanes during climate change-fueled heat wave

The California Transportation Commission approved billions in funding for car-centric projects this week during a record-breaking March heat wave in the state fueled by climate change.

Supporters of the decisions praised the commission for a taking “balanced” approach in the State Transportation Improvement Program and the State Highway Operation and Protection Program — awarding money to safety-enhancing and climate-friendly projects as well as highway projects. But transportation advocates lined up to protest their funding choices for not more urgently prioritizing road safety and climate change.

Huh.

It’s all a bunch of bullshit. The climate crisis crap is a multi billion dollar scam. And you aint in it. You are paying for it.

  2. Elwood P. Dowd says:

Global warming denial is all a bunch of bullshit.

We’re paying for trump’s bullshit at the pump and the stores.

LOL. Let’s shut down the federal gov’t except for the military and deportations and let our billionaires like South African-Canadian-U.S. citizen Elon pick what gets funded!!!

We could be governed by a perpetual Big Billionaire Board – Donnie, Donnie Jr, Elon, Zuck, Thiel, Bessent, Lutnick, Gates, Huang, Ellison, Bezos, Putin, Netanyahu, Waltons, Page, Brin… Like the Senate, it would have 100 members. We have over 1000 billionaires – most are conservatives and understand the business of America are their businesses.

St Louis MO area today!! 90°F (Normal = 58°F)

    Tomorrow expected 88°F

    • drowningpuppies says:

Do your part to fight global warming, Rimjob.

      Turn off your air conditioner.

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

        Lil MAGA Motherfucker,

No A/C yet, CumBreath. If you had a small, well-insulated house, and a light colored roof, you could get by. The nights are still cool. It’s 67 out now, but expected 88 later. You open up at night, the house cools. You close up mid morning … even at 90 outside it stays in the 70s inside.

The problem is in the summer when the nights stay hot.

But thanks for your concern about our well-being. We’ve lived simply for decades. We wish everyone would.

        • drowningpuppies says:

Rimjob: The problem is in the summer when the nights stay hot.

Oh, so Rimjob only uses air conditioning when HE needs it.

          Such a moron. LOL.

          • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Lil CumBreath typed, risibly: “…uses air conditioning when he needs it”

So you use air conditioning when you DON’T need it?

92 and sunny here today, but 78 indoors, w/o A/C.

You’re not very smart are you? (That’s rhetorical. We know the answer.)

            Such a moron, LOL.

But thanks for your concern. It will be in the 50s tomorrow!

Understanding a point emphasis is difficult for the Rimjob.

Wielieck’s temp graph? Didn’t anyone question it and ask “exactly what do those numbers indicate? I think that they are the avg temps by year over the whole USA
Whereas the subject being discussed was/is the extreme temps in the western part of the USA
Did we change the subject as a deflection?

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

I did look into it. Wielecki’s graph was for yearly Calfornia temps. Not daily, not monthly. Teach and the “Dr” are comparing apples to fish.

    • Jl says:

Have we shown that the recent extreme temps are anything out of the ordinary? How could it be about the same temp as over 100 years ago when the CO2 concentration was about 100ppm less back then?
      Johnny?

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

        Jildo,

The U.S. occupies less than 2% of the Earth’s surface. You should understand that the mean global surface temperature is, well, global. “Mean” means average. “Global” means the whole Earth!

See the table from Mr trump’s own .gov. From 1875-1884 the mean US temperature was 51.3F. From 2016-2025 it was 56.1F. 56.1 > 51.3. In superhot 1934 it was 55.3F.

        https://www.weather.gov/media/slc/ClimateBook/Annual%20Average%20Temperature%20By%20Year.pdf

You and William consistently cherry-pick “sciency” “data” from climate quacks, like Wielicki.

Please understand that greenhouse gases are not the ONLY determinant of daily temperatures!! But – greenhouse gases are the primary cause of our warming planet.

        • Jl says:

“Cherry pick data from climate quacks, like Wielicki”. So Mr. Wielicki took average yearly California temperatures and showed that 1934 was warmer than now. That is true, so far. The cherry-pickers would be the ones only looking at specific days (it was 108 yesterday in Yuma!). So Mr Wielicki looked at average yearly temps in a specific area out west, California. That would be much more indicative of showing any potential trend than just looking at specific days

  6. Jl says:

You should understand that I was describing people of the cult that took the recent heat out west and proclaimed it “caused by global warming”, when that is unknown. So for you to understand, I commented on those who took a specific area of the earth, the western US, (way less than 2% of the earth’s surface), by looking at and commenting on the exact same areas that they were. It’s hard, I know…
