Happening: Trump Decided He’s Had Enough Of Iran’s BS

It was probably a big mistake for Iran’s leaders to threaten to go after Americans, American service members, and Trump

Iran’s supreme leader, president targeted in attack: senior Israeli official

A senior Israeli official confirmed to Fox News Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian were targeted in Saturday’s joint U.S.-Israel attack on Iran.

The official noted military forces also focused on taking out “those responsible for commanding the mass murder of Iranian protesters.”

“Battle damage assessments will come out later,” the official said.

Who’d they get?

Senior IRGC, regime officials killed in Israel-US strikes on Iran, source says

Israeli and US strikes on Iran killed several senior Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commanders and Islamic Regime political officials, an Iranian source close to the establishment told Reuters on Saturday.

Iran’s Security Council instructed residents of Tehran, as well as other major cities, to stay in safe, protected locations until further notice, Walla reported.

Security forces blocked roads in the Tehran area that is home to the offices of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, President Masoud Pezeshkian, and parliament, witnesses said.

This follows on from Israel and the United States launching an attack on Iran, with Iranian state media reporting explosions heard in Tehran, Qom, Isfahan, Kermanshah, and Karaj.

Khamenei is not in Tehran and has been transferred to a “secure location,” an Iranian official confirmed to Reuters earlier on Saturday.

Oh, good, he moved from the densely packed Tehran to somewhere more remote, so, less chance of collateral damage? It looks like Israel and the US were serious, since they bombed Khamenei’s compound. And Trump did call for the overthrow of Iran’s government.

Obviously the Democrats, and some squishes (like Thomas Massie. What happened to him?), are losing their minds, going full Barking Moonbat, starting with the NY Times editorial board, which also went full TDS

Why Have You Started This War, Mr. President?

In his 2024 presidential campaign, Donald Trump promised voters that he would end wars, not start them. Over the past year, he has instead ordered military strikes in seven nations. His appetite for military intervention grows with the eating.

Now he has ordered a new attack against the Islamic Republic of Iran, in cooperation with Israel, and U.S. officials say they expect this attack to be much more extensive than the targeted bombing of nuclear facilities in June. Yet he has offered no credible explanation for why he is risking the lives of our service members and inviting a major reprisal from Iran. Nor has he involved Congress, which the Constitution grants the sole power to declare war. He has issued a series of shifting partial justifications, including his sporadic support for the heroic Iranian people protesting their tyrannical government and his demand that Iran forswear its pursuit of a nuclear weapon.

Now, the NY Times cheered when Biden and Obama were getting involved in all sorts of wars. When Biden was pushing the world, along with EU leaders, towards WWIII against Russia. I don’t expect a quagmire or anything long term. I don’t expect an Iraq or Afghanistan. I expect lots of booms, but, no boots on the ground. I guess we’ll see.

The Iranian regime, to be clear, deserves no sympathy. It has wrought misery since its revolution 47 years ago: on its own people, on its neighbors and around the world. It massacred thousands of protesters this year. It imprisons and executes political dissidents. It oppresses women, L.G.B.T.Q. people and religious minorities. Its leaders have impoverished their own citizens while corruptly enriching themselves. They have proclaimed “Death to America” since coming to power and killed hundreds of U.S. service members in the region, as well as bankrolled terrorism that has killed civilians in the Middle East and as far away as Argentina.

But, since Orange Man Bad and those hated Jews in Israel are prosecuting the attack the Times, and by extension most Dems, are against it.

The pedophile Trump was blackmailed by the Epstein Giles
“The hated Jews” ? American Jews vote 80% De . You Teach are the one who hates Jews

You loved the ears in Afghanistan and Iraq, but not enough to enlist. Iraq is now best friends with Iran and both are major oil suppliers to China.

Former first lady testified about her ties with Epstein. Should Melania also be required to testify for her long association with that convicted pedophile?:

While no one can say that the Iranian government being gone is a bad thing, I still don’t think that we should have done this. Wars, once started, do not always wind up the way expected.

The people of Iran were already revolting, and though we cannot know whether they would have succeeded, the United States and Israel striking Iran can only lend credence to the claims of the mad mullahs that the uprisings in Iran were created and coordinated by the Great Satan. While the attacks might destroy the government, they are less likely to create a new government which will be that friendly toward Western civilization.

Iran was already suffering through real poverty, and a crippling drought. The very strained water systems in Iran could easily be damaged or destroyed in military strikes, possibly leading to the very civilians we support dying of thirst.

Though there are times when war is necessary, it is still a very bad thing.

We in the United States have too antiseptic a view of war. Even the wars we lost or in which we were stalemated, while we lost men and machines, there were no strikes on the United States itself. We have two very broad oceans which have protected us from war coming to American soil itself, while we have the ability to strike nations half a world away. We lost 58,220 soldiers in Vietnam, a tragedy for their families and them, but the United States wasn’t struck by the Viet Cong, because they couldn’t. The last war on our soil was our own Civil War, which ended 161 years ago; no one alive today remembers that war.

Wars, once started, frequently don’t turn out the way people expect. I think you’ll turn out to be right and I hope you’ll turn out to be right, but who can know at this point?
