  3. Elwood P. Dowd says:

The American economy grew at an annual rate of 4.3% this summer amid tariffs and the deportation of illegal aliens. Growth was 3.8% in the spring.

The inflation rate dropped to 2.7%.

    Wages are up 4.1%.

Boo-fucking-Hoo they whine, “This wasn’t supposed to be this way.”

    Yes! I voted for this.

Recent data confirms a significant reduction in the federal workforce. The federal government has shed hundreds of thousands of jobs in 2025, with a total reduction of approximately 271,000 jobs between January and November of this year. The total number of federal workers is now roughly 2.74 million people.

Key details regarding the workforce reduction:
Total Reductions: As of late 2025, approximately 317,000 federal employees left the government this year through a combination of firings, buyouts, and resignations.
Net Job Loss: The net job loss (accounting for new hires) since January 2025 is 271,000.

Now if they could eliminate a bunch of recalcitrant judges…

    • Professor Hale says:

10% is a good start. I don’t know that there is any way to remove bad judges. the system used to depend on the judges to police each other but once they became Democratic party judges, they are now all above the law. They are above removal. Republicans and conservatives were complacent too long and let this happen. They should have used their majorities to refuse to confirm those judges. The damage is done now.

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Now do the Supreme Court. Sexual harassers like Thomas and Kavanaugh make bad judges.

Since two branches of government are now horribly partisan, the courts are our last hope. If trump rigs the courts as he is trying to rig Congress we may not recover for decades…

        • drowningpuppies says:

What proof does the kiddie diddler, Rimjob, have to back his sordid allegations that Thomas or Kavanaugh sexually harassed anyone?
          Go ahead please.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

      Remember Reinventing Government (1993-1998)?

During its five years, it catalyzed significant changes in the way the federal government operates, including the elimination of over 100 programs, the elimination of over 250,000 federal jobs, the consolidation of over 800 agencies, and the transfer of institutional knowledge to contractors.

And the economy soared and the budget was balanced (until W busted it with tax cuts and wars).
