The blog of the day is Bearing Arms, with a post on hunting in Canada.

The article pimping assault-type rifle, handgun and ammo industries in Canada is not even Canadian but from a U.S. Georgia writer. This was an ad for gun manufacturers.
Canada banned assault-style rifles years ago. They’re not useful for game hunting anyway. Handguns are also restricted.
The bulk of Canadian spending is for hunting rifles, shotguns and ammunition and target practice at ranges. These are not under threat there.
On my latest trip there, our fishing guide was a police officer from Thunder Bay who checked and locked up his sidearm at the station before going off-duty.
The homicide rate in Canada is about one-third that of the U.S. (Yeah, but… Nigroes in ‘Murica!!). Homicide rate in Canada still much lower.
Handguns (illegal) from the U.S. are a problem.
