Surprise: The Amount Of Fraud In Minnesota Is Vastly More

It’s funny when Democrats say “It’s only a billion dollars” like that is chump change in Reality Land

At least $9B billed across 14 Medicaid services in Minnesota may be fraudulent, top prosecutor says

surprise surprise surpriseA top prosecutor suggested on Thursday that the total amount of fraud in Minnesota could be $9 billion or more.

According to First Assistant U.S. Attorney Joe Thompson, 14 Medicaid services under audit and deemed “high risk” for fraud have cost the state $18 billion since 2018.

Thompson said a substantial amount of money billed across those programs is fraudulent, but the exact amount is still under investigation.

“I don’t make these generalizations in a hasty way,” he said. “When I say significant amount, I’m talking on the order of half or more. But we’ll see. When I look at the claims data and the providers, I see more red flags than I see legitimate providers.”

I wonder if Ilhan Omar and Tim Walz will be implicated? There’s no way they didn’t know. Anyhow, imagine how many people could have actually been helped with that $9 billion in Minnesota. And we can all assume that the actual number is much higher, but, it’s harder to track

Minnesota Department of Human Services Inspector General James Clark released a statement, saying speculation of the amount of fraud occurring is “shocking.”

“If there is evidence of Medicaid fraud, the state should be given the information so DHS can slam the door shut on payments to those individuals and businesses,” Clark said. “We have been moving more aggressively than ever to suspend payments where we see evidence of fraud and refer criminals to law enforcement for prosecution. I’ve previously sent letters to the U.S. Attorney’s Office asking them to share evidence of fraud and I’m requesting a meeting immediately to discuss how we can partner to stop criminals now.”

Yeah, well, you had your chance to do something over this fraud that has been going on for years, and you failed.

“Minnesota has become a magnet for fraud, so much so that we have developed a fraud tourism industry – people coming to our state purely to exploit and defraud its programs,” Thompson said. “This is a deeply unsettling reality that all Minnesotans should understand.”

How does it not get caught when you’re seeing this amount unless people were in on it and/or covering it up?

It’s not just Minnesota. Democrats have created welfare fraud everywhere

It’s not just Minnesota.

The past few weeks have made clear that fraudsters stole billions of dollars from states’ welfare programs, much of it from Medicaid. It also appears that Democratic politicians tolerated the heist for their own political benefit. Yet politicians in virtually every state have let waste, fraud, and abuse spread like wildfire in Medicaid, putting taxpayers on the hook for an estimated $2 trillion in improper spending over the next decade alone. Thankfully, President Donald Trump and congressional Republicans have given states a reason to clean up this mess and spare taxpayers that pain. (snip)

The first Trump administration found that 27.4% of federal Medicaid spending was improper in 2020 — or about $120 billion at the time. The administration also found that four out of every five improper payments were the result of eligibility errors. This money flowed to people who shouldn’t have been on Medicaid and therefore diverted money and care away from its intended recipients. Five years later, it’s highly likely that at least one in five Medicaid dollars is still wrongly spent.

Yeah, I’d read the whole thing.

Tampon Timmy, like all the demtards, are blaming it all on that racist President Trump.

It’s simple: whenever the government simply gives away money, all for good reasons, don’t you know, fraudsters will move in to steal a share of it.

Our welfare systems encourage fraud, from hucksters trying to steal some of it, to citizens of other countries sneaking in to get a share. The only way to eliminate welfare fraud is to eliminate welfare!

Does Dana consider Social Security, Medicare, Chip, Medicaid welfare that needs to be eliminated? Has he given up his SS and Medicare?

TrumpInc has made $3 Billion this year so far!!

The tax policies since 1980 have transferred several Trillion USD from the working class to the leisure class AND added Trillions to the national debt!!! That’s the real welfare fraud.

Trillions silently transferred to rich white people is OK! Fat Caligula even pardons the ones caught committing actual fraud!!

An analysis by House Judiciary Democrats estimated these pardons erased approximately $1.3 billion in restitution and fines owed to victims and taxpayers.

      Read on…

David Gentile: Founder of GPB Capital; sentence commuted in November 2025 after serving 12 days of a 7-year term for a $1.7 billion Ponzi-like scheme.

Trevor Milton: Nikola founder; pardoned in March 2025 for securities and wire fraud convictions related to misleading investors about EV technology.

Todd and Julie Chrisley: Reality TV stars; pardoned in May 2025 for bank fraud and tax evasion involving $30 million in fraudulent loans.

George Santos: Former GOP lawmaker; granted clemency in October 2025 while serving time for wire fraud and identity theft.

Changpeng Zhao (CZ): Binance founder; pardoned in October 2025 following a guilty plea for anti-money laundering violations.

Devon Archer: Former Hunter Biden associate; pardoned in March 2025 for defrauding a Native American tribal entity of $60 million.

Henry Cuellar: Democratic Congressman; preemptively pardoned in late 2025 for bribery and money laundering charges before standing trial.

Rod Blagojevich: Former Illinois Governor; received a full pardon in February 2025 for wire fraud and extortion.

Michele Fiore: Former Las Vegas official; pardoned for wire fraud involving misappropriated charitable donations.

Democrats allow Somalis to commit welfare fraud in exchange for Somalis engaging in election fraud.

We all know it. They know it.

Democrats are buying harvested ballots from foreigners with our tax dollars.

2025 is turning out to be the year MAGA47 is being proven right.

The other night Fat Caligula berated Americans for not appreciating His Greatness! For all the taxpayer spending on his gold and glitter adornments his approval rating by independent voters is 21%. The Repubicun/MAGAt minority still worship their Lard, though.

Although his blowing away Venezuelans in the open seas is popular with his cruel MAGAt base, his approval overall is underwater! Rich white people still love him!!

Once he fixes the mid-term elections (and don’t count him out!!), all bets are off regarding how horrible he’ll become!!

Fat Caligula is forced to be more and more outrageous to keep normal people off balance (plus, he is deteriorating rapidly and has surrounded himself with toadies)!! You ain’t seen nothin’ yet!!!

The ACA is 14 years old which is why Fat Donnie wants to fuck it!

  6. drowningpuppies says:

    Ya shouldn’t be surprised…

“When you import a population whose primary occupation is pirate, that they are going to come here and steal everything we have.”

“Somalia has this giant coastline, and the only industry they have created, after hundreds of years, is piracy, stealing what anyone going through who has actually built something has made,” he continued. “So, yes, the pirates have stolen all of our money, and they have to go home, Jesse. That’s the situation we’re in right now.
