More than 160 Republicans, including current Trump administration officials, may have been investigated by the FBI under former President Joe Biden, as part of the bureau’s sweeping Arctic Frost probe, documents show.
White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino, US Pardon Attorney Ed Martin and White House trade adviser Peter Navarro are among the prominent GOP figures named in FBI files released by the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, detailing the massive scope of the Biden-era Justice Department’s investigation into allegations of 2020 election interference.
“What we’ve learned is it was much broader, much more expansive, than we ever thought,” House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan told Fox News host Sean Hannity.
“This is why we want [former special counsel] Jack Smith in front of our committee in a deposition format,” Jordan (R-Ohio) continued.
“‘Was this a political operation you guys were running against President Trump? …. How many other members of Congress did you spy on?’ …. Those are the kind of questions we want to ask Jack Smith, to see what kind of answers we get from the guy who ran this whole operation,” the congressman added.
Now, imagine it was the Trump DOJ spying on 20% of Senate Democrats. Or, heck, just 1. This would be the lead story in every Credentialed Media outlet, Democrats would be throwing subpoenas left and right, and would be looking for a way to jail Trump. Cruz is calling this worse than Watergate, and he’s possibly correct, especially since the media wants to bury this
Wiretaps require a judicial warrant, and to get a warrant, the FBI would have had to meet several specific requirements. It would be interesting to see what evidence of probable cause was presented to the judge/judges to issue these wiretap warrants.
More, out of 160 Republican Senate and House members, were any indicted and tried for any particular crimes? That answer is no, not a single one has been charged with any crime related to this. The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, but you’d think that out of 160 evil, reich-wing Republicans, Attorney General Merrick Garland would have found something to charge someone, if there was actually anything there.
The Republicans control all branches of Government. So do something about it, but they won’t. So if the senators involved won’t do anything about it why should I care.

The first Trump administration provably conspired to overturn the 2020 election, a massive conspiracy that culminated in the storming of the US Capitol at exactly the time Congress was certifying the election. Trump associates involved in the conspiracy have pleaded guilty or been convicted. By all means GOP, investigate away – but openly.
Jack Smith may testify under oath for the House Judiciary Committee and the odious chair Jim “fondle” Jordan. Smith is seeking guidance from the Dept of Retribution over what he can reveal by law. He insists on testifying in an open session which Big Donnie vehemently opposes.

Big Donnie has to VERY carefully tread, keeping investigations secret and controlling the release of information. They will attempt to keep Jack Smith muzzled. Pam Blondi will likely indict him.

But remember: the FBI had to have probable cause, and meet other requirements to get wiretap warrants issued, yet not a single one of the wiretapped Republicans was charged with any crime. What are the odds that, out of at least 160 wiretaps with a (supposedly) probable cause for them, not a single Republican lawmaker was charged with any offenses? It seems like rather improbable causes at this point.
Any fisherman can have a day in which he doesn’t catch anything, but if a fisherman goes out fishing for 160 days and never gets a bite, he’s a pretty piss poor fisherman.
So, what could there have been? Either the Department of Justice presented completely specious allegations, or the judge involved was so biased against Republicans that he didn’t care about how probable the cause was, or possibly both.
Of course, it fits right into the left’s in general, and Mr Dowd’s claims specifically, that “Big Donnie” must be a pedophile, with the evidence all in the Jeffrey Epstein files, even though the Democrat-controlled Department of Justice had possession of those files for three years — Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted in December of 2021 — and there was never a single thing about Mr Trump released or leaked to the press for three years, by highly partisan Democrats who claimed that the then-former President was a danger to democracy.
