Hamas likely to reject Trump’s peace plan for Gaza, terror group official tells BBC
Hamas will likely reject US President Donald Trump’s 20-point peace plan that would end the war in Gaza and see the release of the remaining 48 hostages, a senior official of the terrorist organization told the BBC on Wednesday.
The British public-service broadcaster cited the official saying that the plan “serves Israel’s interests” and “ignores those of the Palestinian people.”
The official added that Hamas also refuses to disarm and surrender its weapons. It also rejects any presence of an “International Stabilization Force” in the Gaza Strip, both of which are conditions in Trump’s plan, the BBC noted.
The report comes in contrast with a Tuesday CBS report, citing an informed source, saying that Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups are leaning toward accepting Trump’s proposal.
The terrorist organization had not given an official response to the proposal, but was reviewing it “responsibly,” the CBS report stated. The BBC report noted that a Palestinian official had said that it is being examined by Hamas leadership both inside and outside of Gaza.
It’s almost like Hamas and the other Islamic terrorist groups want to continue being terrorists, which does not serve the plight of the Palestinian people. As long as Hamas wants to fight Israel will continue to obliterate Gaza. The Palestinian people need to decide if they want to continue supporting killing Jews and attacking Israel while supporting Hamas, or want their nice territory back like it used to be. Can they overcome their brainwashing to just accept peace? They do not have to like Jews and Israel, they just have to stop the attacks.
Another condition that Hamas reportedly rejects is releasing the remaining hostages at once, which the BBC describes as them letting go of their only “bargaining chip.”

This comes after Palestinian Islamic Jihad spokesman Mohammed al-Haj Musa told Ultra Palestine on Tuesday evening that Hamas was set to meet with other Palestinian groups to discuss their response to the plan.
The proposal “does not pertain to Hamas alone, but rather to the entire Palestinian people,” Musa told the Palestinian outlet. “Therefore, all factions are required to participate in formulating a unified national response to it.”
Again, what will be the response overall from the average Palestinian: peace or continued annihilation? They cannot win. The can do well in the propaganda, but, that’s it. Qatar, Turkey, and Egypt have told Hamas to accept the peace plan.

Since the October 7 Massacre, “ceasefire now” has been the rallying cry for activists demanding that Israel cease its military operations against Hamas in Gaza.
The slogan was emblazoned on banners in street marches, stated in speeches by politicians across the world, and featured in open letters by celebrities. Activists demanded a “permanent ceasefire” to end hostilities, ostensibly to save the lives of civilians caught in the crossfire.
Yet after a comprehensive peace proposal was presented by President Donald Trump on Monday, and it received the backing of major Middle Eastern powers, including Turkey and Qatar, there was silence from the “ceasefire now” activists in the best case, outright rejection at the worst.
Despite Israel agreeing to a phased plan which would end the fighting, release hostages, rebuild Gaza, and lay the groundwork for moderate governance, there have been no mass protests in the street, no flotillas, no building occupations to exert pressure on Hamas to end the war.

They don’t seem to understand that Hamas stops existing so they don’t need a bargaining chip. They can stop existing and go live quietly, spending their stolen billions in a nice place, or they can stop existing violently with a bomb through the roof of their house, but everyone agrees that they are going to stop existing. The bottom line is there is no more Hamas.

In the “mirror universe” episode of Star Trek, Mr Spock told Captain Kirk, once they were returned to their regular dimensions, that it was easier for them, as civilized men, to play the part of barbarians than it was for their opposites, as barbarians, to play the roles of civilized men.
This is part of our problem in understanding Hamas. By any reasonable logic, according to Western civilization, Hamas and the ‘Palestinians’ lost this war, lost it months ago, but the ‘Palestinians’ are not products of Western civilization, and just don’t think the way we do.
By any reasonable standard, Japan was defeated before August 6, 1945, but the militarists who controlled the government wanted to fight on. Then the atomic bomb was used on Hiroshima, and still the Japanese government would not accept surrender. It took a second atomic bombing before the Emperor was able to force a surrender.
Good thing the Japanese surrendered when they did. They were running out of cities for America to reduce to rubble. The end was inevitable even without the bomb. But you are right that hamas cannot stop being hamas. This “deal” was only announced because the Arab and Islamic governments were on board for anihilating hamas if they didn’t accept total surrender. Back channel negotiators with hamas indicated they were willing to accept the deal and secretly still be hamas but in Syria or Egypt. Hamas cannot accept the deal because they cannot give back the hostages. The atrocities cannot be undone. Nor can they openly admit they don’t have any living Jewish meat shields left. Hamas is looking for a way to agree with conditions, but give nothing in return. They just don’t want to all die.
“Hamas” and “peace” is a contradiction in terms.
HAMAS is Islam.
They will never change.
