    Hawley wrote a letter to the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA) on Wednesday, saying the organization may have an “alleged role in financially and materially supporting” protests and riots in Los Angeles, which he described as “coordinated.”

    The letter, addressed to CHIRLA Executive Director Angelica Salas, notes that “credible reporting” has indicated that the organization has provided “logistical support and financial resources to individuals engaged in these disruptive actions.”

    “Let me be clear: bankrolling civil unrest is not protected speech. It is aiding and abetting criminal conduct. Accordingly, you must immediately cease and desist any further involvement in the organization, funding or promotion of these unlawful activities,” Hawley wrote.

    Putin spokeswoman, Tulsi Gabbard, whose day job is U.S. Director of National Intelligence avers in a new video:

    “This is the reality of what’s at stake, what we are facing now. Because as we stand here today, closer to the brink of nuclear annihilation than ever before, political elite warmongers are carelessly fomenting fear and tensions between nuclear powers.”

    Gabbard went on to suggest that powerful people are confident they’d have access to “nuclear shelters” and would therefore be unaffected by any consequences.

    “It’s up to us, the people, to speak up and demand an end to this madness. We must reject this path to nuclear war and work toward a world where no one has to live in fear of a nuclear holocaust,” she continues.

    In 2023, she typed on X :

    “The warmongers are trying to drag us into WW3, which can only end in one way: nuclear annihilation and the suffering and death of all our loved ones. Zelenskyy, Biden, NATO, congressional and media neocons are insane. And we are insane if we passively allow them to lead us into this holocaust like sheep to the slaughter.”

    But wasn’t it trump friend, Vladimir Putin, invade Ukraine? And isn’t it Gabbard patron, Putin, who keeps threatening nuclear attacks if Ukraine, NATO and the U.S refuse to relinquish Ukraine (to start, followed by the Baltics) to him?

    Not sure who the worst trump appointee is, but Director Gabbard is in the running! Look out Kennedy, Noem, Patel, Blondi, Hegseth… she’s gaining on you.

          I suggest you find a recent copy of Strategy and Tactics. Originally a gaming magazine, now has well researched articles on war. Also google the site Study of War.

      Perhaps I see things differently than our fantasizing pharmacist, but I think people trying to avoid nuclear war are pretty good people.

      There’s been a complete 180º turn amongst our friends on the left. I think it was Rush Limbaugh who had a song, “Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran” set to the tune of the Beach Boys Barbara Anne. It’s catchy enough, but it ain’t Trump supporters posting these things. Why are so many new neocons wanting yet another war?

          MAD hasn’t been US policy for decades. The official strategic policy is now called “Flexible Response”. In it, elected officials can use as much or as little force, including nukes, to respond to whatever threats present themselves.

        Our Kentucky Kernel subscribes to the notion that a nuclear threat is the ultimate trump card. So the world should just hand over Ukraine to Russia led by a crazy Putin?

        Why doesn’t trump threaten Canada with a nuke to make them our 51st through 61st states?

        I heard “Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Iran” from candidate Senator John McCain first.

        Should President Zelenskyy surrender his nation to putin? Should Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova and Poland give up?

        The American right used to stand up to bullies, now they support the bullies. The rightists used to stupidly march into Iraq, Afghanistan… Reagan armed Iraq, Bush invaded Iraq. Today you support the killing of babies, children, women and men in Gaza and Kharkiv. But criticize the defense of Ukraine. You want to invade Mexico! You want to take Greenland “one way or the other”. You use the U.S. Army and Marines to attack American residents in meat packing plants and grade schools.

        It’s not clear why Gabbard and trump genuflect to putin. You do it because trump does.
