NY Times Seems Surprised That Jews In America Have Anxiety

Did anyone at the Times consider that American Jews are living in fear thanks to the Times and other media outlets taking the side of the pro-Hamas people? That when they all take the word of Hamas it turns Democrats against Jews? When they go soft on the pro-Hamas folks they enable them against Jews?

After Several Attacks, Heightened Anxiety Among American Jews

The attack on demonstrators in Boulder, Colo., marching in support of hostages being held in Gaza would have been disturbing to Jewish people across the country even if it were the only recent event of its kind. The suspect told investigators after his arrest that he had been planning the attack for a year, according to court documents. Eight people were hospitalized.

For many, the connections to other recent outbursts of violence were impossible to miss. The attack in Boulder came less than two weeks after two Israeli Embassy employees were shot and killed as they left a reception at a Jewish museum in Washington. A month earlier, an arsonist set fire to the Pennsylvania governor’s mansion on the first night of Passover while Gov. Josh Shapiro, who is Jewish, slept upstairs with his family.

“What we’ve seen these last few months is a shocking pattern of anti-Israel sentiment manifesting itself in antisemitic violence,” said Halie Soifer, chief executive of the Jewish Democratic Council of America. “With each incident, there’s a further shattering of our sense of security.”

The drumbeat of violence erupting across the country and taking an unpredictable variety of forms has deepened anxieties among many American Jews, and contributed to a sense that simply existing in public as a Jewish person is increasingly dangerous. One of the victims of the attack at the march in Boulder was a Holocaust survivor, according to a friend of the victim who was at the scene.

That all three attackers alluded to political objections to Israel raised concerns among many about the threat of left-wing political violence connected to the war in Gaza.

Maybe I’m being to harsh on the Times. Or, maybe the usual folks at the Times missed what Ruth Graham was going to write, because it is rare that you see them blame left wing violence, meaning Democrats.

In April, an opponent of Israel’s war in Gaza circulated a “Wanted” poster online that showed the faces of seven council members, writing that they were “complicit in genocide” for not passing the resolution.

Across the country, many Jews say they have observed an uptick in antisemitism, both personally and in the broader culture, in recent years.

These are Democrats. These are the Democrats learning to hate Israel and then Jews in their left wing colleges. These are the Islamic radicals brought in to the US in large numbers without verifying their backgrounds. But, the Israel hatred, which translates to Jew hatred, never ends

The AP is citing the Ministry of Health, which is run by Hamas.

Mr Teach seems surprised the Jews vote 80% for Democrats

  2. Professor hale says:

The Legacy media is also surprised to discover fentanyl use, overdoses, and siezures are waY down. They cant understand why. It’s just a mystery.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

That’s right, fentanyl deaths were down 27% in 2024!!

      Can Profesor Hale explain why?

Some suggestions: Increased Availability and Use of Naloxone. Improved Access to Treatment for Substance Use Disorders. Harm Reduction Strategies such as syringe-exchange programs, fentanyl test strip distribution, and overdose education.

  3. Aliassmithsmith says:

You seem to have left out Dave that occurred only in the 1935 election by which time German Jews were living in a complete state of fear. And were terrified of appearing in any way of being anti Hitler or anti German

I am surprised you couldn’t figure that out with a simple search
When you do not want to “figure it out”, that falls under willfully ignorance

  4. Aliassmithsmith says:

Professor when I tried to fact check you I went to DEA .com
Guess what ? You are incorrect. Did some data source misinform you? Please tell us which you chose to use.
As of June 2 seizure of fentanyl pills is about exactly what it was in 2024
    But
Seizure of fentanyl powder is about DOUBLE what it was in 2024

By the by Professor you may have missed or forgotten my post last summer announcing my promotion in the SOROS organization which entitled me to full tuition at CUNY and 7500 in cash per semester. I do enjoy poking at professors when they are in error.
Ohh also because of promotion to “commissar” I was given a 1 bedroom penthouse apartment 88% subsidized !

    • Professor Hale says:

      A/Alias/Jeff,
Too bad you failed at reading comprehension. My source was the media, as I said in the subject of my sentence: “The Legacy media…”. (Washington Post). I was pointing out their own lack of ability to draw conclusions from available data in their own story, not fact checking their data against government sources. If you wish to notice that the Washington Post are liars and normally just make stuff up, you are looking at the wrong person to defend them.

I don’t care enough about you to care about the rest of the drivel you wrote.

  6. Aliassmithsmith says:

The current GOVERNMENT of Israel is in power only because they have a very slim majority. There are many many Israelis that do not approve of the actions of their current government. That is a fact.

  7. Elwood P. Dowd says:

It is unfair to blame American Jews for the vile actions of the Israeli leader and military, just as it’s unfair to blame infants and children in Gaza for the vile actions of Hamas.

  8. Aliassmithsmith says:

You seem to have left out the important fact coming from that Washington Post article that the seizures that are decreasing are only occuring at the border.
Only about (est) 10% of all seizures occur at the border. So that 10% of seizures is decreasing. The 90% seized away from the border are vastly increasing
My guess is because fewer ICE at the border, more ICE agents needed for raiding job sites.

Why do you think fentanyl seizures at the border are decreasing , Professor?

  9. alias says:

    Professor
    Always happy to chat
So i did look for your Washington Post citation. I was a bit uncertain about your claim that seizures were down.
And yes that was reported in the esteemed Washington Post
    BUT
You neglected to tell us that as reported by the Post, that the seizures were down in only one reported area, that being only along the border! Why was that omitted? Oversight? Intentional? Seizures nationwide have about doubled as reported as I sad by the DEA. ????? Yet you as a Professor mock MY reading comprehension?
    lol
    So funny!!!
You are so narcistic about your own cognitive abilities that you do not realize nor can you admu making that mistake. You insist that seizures aer down, while the DEA says that tey have doubled in the last 6 months

  10. Alias says:

Now that we hae straightened out that mistake about seizure, shall we discuss why seizures along the border are down? My belief is that they are down because Trump has removed agent ICE agents from the border to raid construction job sites? Why do you think they down?

    • Professor Hale says:

Dragging you along by telling you the meaning of words and how grammar works is tedious and boring. It’s not my job to educate you or teach you how Google works. I will go into details for Doom because he comes by his disagreements honestly. Engaging with another fool who just cut-pastes democratic party talking points isn’t worth my time or effort. Go back and read what I wrote, not what the voices in your head tell you to engage your knee jerk response about.

No need to respond, you are now on the “Jeff” list. Not worth reading or commenting on.

  11. Aliassmithsmith says:

    Lol
    Professor has a fragile ego.
    But let’s review

1st you told us that fentanyl seizures were down. I found that surprising so I decided to look into it.
When I googled it the official DEA.gov site said that seizures were up, in the case of fentanyl powder, seizures had DOUBLED
2nd, again surprised I went and searched for the WP article that you cited, which was posted June 2nd. I saw IN THE VERY 1st paragraph the error. Yes, seizures were down, but only along the border! You must have either missed that or didn’t know that border seizures represent only 10% of the total seizures in the USA.

Instead of realizing your error you instead chose to belittle my reading comprehension. I did find that rather amusing, I make mistakes, we all do. But, at least I admit and accept them. And this time, the mistake was not mine. It was yours. Lol the funniest thing is not that you made a mistake, everyone makes mistakes, but that you simply can not accept it.

When Trump beat Hillary I was so certain she would win I went to sleep early. The next morning when I woke, SURPRISE!!!

    Hope that helps “Professor”
