Marjorie Taylor Greene says she would have voted against the One Big Beautiful Bill Act if she had read it…

“Full transparency, I did not know about this section on pages 278-279 of the OBBB that strips states of the right to make laws or regulate AI for 10 years,” she said. “I am adamantly OPPOSED to this and it is a violation of state rights and I would have voted NO if I had known this was in there.”

Greene noted that “we have no idea what AI will be capable of in the next 10 years and giving it free rein and tying states hands is potentially dangerous,” and demanded that part of the bill “be stripped out in the Senate.”

    Elon Musk..

“I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore,” Musk posted on X. “This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.”

Not too long ago, many Republicans proudly referred to themselves as “constitutional conservatives.” They believed in the rule of law; in limiting the power of government, especially the federal government; in protecting individual liberty; and in checks and balances and the separation of powers. And they had reverence for the Constitution, less as a philosophical document than a procedural one, which articulated the rules of the road for American democracy.

Ah, the good ol’ days. Remember Justice Antonin Scalia? Good times. Remember when the opposition to abortion was supposedly based on some Constitutional principle?

And today? The MAGAs are the antithesis of “constitutional conservatism”. And all it took was one power-hungry felon to lead them. “Conservatives” have always been susceptible to joining “stronngman” cults. Devoted to Goldwater, Nixon, Reagan, W Bush, Putin… but they were typically restrained by their allegiance to the Constitution. No more. The movement is today a full-blown cult of personality. Trump has few guiding principles – central being whatever is good for him. Otherwise, he says or does whatever keeps the MAGA mob following. And follow him they do!

Their leaders promote the myth that the United States is a nation circling the drain, and that non-white, non-christian, non-straight, non-American Americans are the cause!

Professional cyclists have padding built into their bike shorts, and not so much on the seats of the bikes. Judging from the picture, this fine young lady does not need the extra padding in bike shorts.
