    “Universal injunctions are an unconstitutional abuse of judicial power,” Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

    Hopefully a SCOTUS universal injunction preventing political abuse of district judges blocking the president’s executive orders will be coming next.

    A federal appeals court on Thursday granted the Trump administration’s request to temporarily pause a lower-court ruling that struck down most of President Donald Trump’s tariffs.

    Elon Musk is exiting the White House with little to show for his cost-cutting push and a list of frustrations from his time in the Trump administration.

    Musk entered politics with grand ambitions of slashing federal spending and chipping away at the $36 trillion in national debt.

    But after months of serving Trump as a loyal supporter and close advisor, Musk has grown increasingly critical of the president’s fiscal policies as his own efforts fall short.

    The tech billionaire announced his departure Wednesday shortly after voicing concerns about a sweeping tax and spending bill backed by Trump and congressional Republicans, which is expected to add trillions of dollars to the national debt.

    During his first presidency, Donald Trump collected millions of dollars of other people’s money. He charged the taxpayer nearly $2 million to protect him during the hundreds of times he visited his own properties. He accepted millions of dollars of campaign-related funds from Republican candidates who sought his favor. His businesses collected at least $13 million from foreign governments over his first term in office.

    He got a great deal on the old DC Post Office, converted it into a fancy bar, hotel and restaurant and made millions off foreigners and lobbyists seeking his favor. He unloaded it as soon as he lost to President Biden, bigly, in 2020. Curiously, the Waldorf-Astoria there now, is not doing nearly as well. Oh, Well…

    When it was all over, Trump apparently decided he had been thinking too small. In his first term, he made improper millions. In his second term, he is reaching for billions: a $2 billion investment by a United Arab Emirates state-owned enterprise in the Binance crypto exchange using the Trump family’s stablecoin asset. An unknown number of billions placed by Qatar in a Trump-family real-estate development in that emirate, topped by the gift of a 747 luxury jet for the president’s personal use in office and afterward. Government-approved support for a Trump golf course in Vietnam while its leaders were negotiating with the United States for relief from Trump tariffs. Last week, Trump hosted more than 200 purchasers of his meme coin, many of them apparently foreign nationals, for a private dinner, with no disclosure of the names of those who had paid into his pocket for access to the president’s time and favor.

    Don’t forget the $2 billion Saudi investment in Trump son-in-law, Jared Trump, nascent investment firm. Or the Saudi LIV golf tour playing at Trump National golf courses!

    The record of Trump real-estate and business projects is one of almost unbroken failure; from 1991 to 2009, his companies filed for bankruptcy six times. Few if any legitimate investors entrusted their money to Trump’s businesses when he was out of office. But since his return to the White House, Trump has been inundated with cash from Middle Eastern governments. Obscure Chinese firms are suddenly buying millions of dollars’ worth of Trump meme coins.

    President Jimmy Carter had to give up input on his little peanut farm… what a schmuck.

    Since the early days of his campaign his net worth has more than doubled to $5.4 BILLION. And he’s only just begun!

    How much of American policy is now shaped by Mr trump’s acquisitiveness?

    Congress will not stop trump’s violations of the Constitution – their only recourse is impeachment and conviction (followed by indictment and conviction, again). But, as long as he keeps yakking on foreigners, LGBTQs, universtity elites and black folk, he’s literally “golden”.
